And we're getting in the way of our success sometimes. Mind you, what I'm sharing didn't just happen. So much I had to learn in past, mistakes, failures, growth to see things fast. It bewilders me how we make business so difficult.
I sometimes cringe at my mindset and actions 7 years back but that's how it is. You grow and learn, and bit by bit, you get that final piece to suddenly go Kabooooooom, and zoom past.
Do You Really Need Money To Make Money
A conversation within our family, relative came up and the question was...
"Yeah, but can you really make money without money in the beginning and equipment and.., with just what we have right now?"
It was a question regarding the mindset of "I need money first to start.."
So, that's the action I was about to take. We do this in our family because we're all have our business and we test things out....
I looked outside my window and thought..
"Ok, that shop there is where I'm going to go first, listen, ask questions, get to know the person, and see if there is a problem I can solve..."
Well, ok then..
By changing my mindset a little more and saying..
"Wealth, opportunity is everywhere - I started to see problems I can solve, everywhere. I began to see business world, leadership in a different light. It gave me such an amazing feeling, an adrenalin, a feeling of really being alive!"
I went to the shop, bought a bottle of milk, and said hi, and chit chat and just took interest in the person. After a few more visits through week, I got to know the man a little more and he told me about all his problems.
I bit at my teeth and just listened and for about 45 mins, the man talked, as the customers came in and bought something and left. He even showed me around the shop, the problems he had with the newspaper rounds, the system he wished he had but didn't because he didn't know enough.
Heck, I didn't but I could find out, which I did and made a phone call and helped him out with other problem he had..
Anyway, in the end, a problem was solved and this is one person and I didn't just make this amount of money..
From one man, a shop keeper I didn't know, and just by taking interest in people's life, listening, laughing with the person, getting to hear the problem, we can really see how we can makie a difference and...get paid.
No tricks. No hype. No awesome technique and twilight zone theories. Just simple really.
Total amount rolled in to about $1400 but it went past 7 days. This took 12 days to make and..money is still coming in...
1. No money to start with.
2. No business card.
3. No mention on company name or product
4. No pitch, nothing.
5. Just one skill, listening and asking questions.
This got me to open my eyes even more and a question came to my mind..
"Are we making Attraction Marketing, and business in itself difficult?"
And...
How come in my city people having difficulty making money when all that was done is take interest of one shop keeper, hear a problem, solve it and get paid?
Are we focusing so much on techniques, and not enough on the basic principles that success is built on that is about people?
If Attraction Marketing, and even business itself is difficult in making problem, there is something going down my friends, that needs sorted. Usually, it's us and our ego.
