I usually get an earful! And definitely enough to know what they are looking to accomplish with their business.
It's mainly because the prospect knows they are in control of exactly what the next step is.... it's no pressure at all. They actually are empowered by fact that they get to control the pace and that I'm not looking for just a quick sale.
I've never been a position where I get so much pleasure in helping people realize their goals and dreams... to become their cheerleader as well as their guide. Speaking to them is just like continuing the conversation you've already started online, but offline.![]()
So how to speak to your leads? Is all depends on how the conversation started.
What piece of content attracted them to your page? Which landing page did they come through? Were they first a friend in a social network (recommended highly), someone who commented on your guest book?
Just speak to them about what they were looking for when they found you and then guide the dance from there.

It's been almost 3 months since my last post. I've been having great success with talking to my leads on the phone - and I just came back to this post to realize that this advice was what I ultimately followed. Not the form process.
Even though...I asked FORM questions, it definitly wasn't in that order. It's just a very natural conversation and they end up sharing the questions from FORM by themselves anyways...if you shut up long enough for them to tell you.
I will comfortably sit on the phone for 10 seconds and not say a word, and they will ALWAYS come back and tell me more about themselves and exactly what they're looking for. And I don't have to say a freakin' word.
Wasn't like this before. I would get hanged up on, they would be unresponsive, just not good.
So yes, of all advice here, Malika's been the most helpful. It only took me 3 months to get it lol
