I usually get an earful! And definitely enough to know what they are looking to accomplish with their business.

It's mainly because the prospect knows they are in control of exactly what the next step is.... it's no pressure at all. They actually are empowered by fact that they get to control the pace and that I'm not looking for just a quick sale.

I've never been a position where I get so much pleasure in helping people realize their goals and dreams... to become their cheerleader as well as their guide. Speaking to them is just like continuing the conversation you've already started online, but offline. :)

So how to speak to your leads? Is all depends on how the conversation started.

What piece of content attracted them to your page? Which landing page did they come through? Were they first a friend in a social network (recommended highly :-)), someone who commented on your guest book?

Just speak to them about what they were looking for when they found you and then guide the dance from there.

Malika

It's been almost 3 months since my last post. I've been having great success with talking to my leads on the phone - and I just came back to this post to realize that this advice was what I ultimately followed. Not the form process.

Even though...I asked FORM questions, it definitly wasn't in that order. It's just a very natural conversation and they end up sharing the questions from FORM by themselves anyways...if you shut up long enough for them to tell you.

I will comfortably sit on the phone for 10 seconds and not say a word, and they will ALWAYS come back and tell me more about themselves and exactly what they're looking for. And I don't have to say a freakin' word.

Wasn't like this before. I would get hanged up on, they would be unresponsive, just not good.

So yes, of all advice here, Malika's been the most helpful. It only took me 3 months to get it lol

Since we mentor and train our team we look for certain qualities when selecting people to join us. It is important today to offer a product that will help people be financially free as well as pay forward by helping others.

In the initital call you must find out why the prospect is looking at your business. Are they out of work, been downsized or lost everthing and have to start over?

Also it is important to find out if they have been in a MLM progrsm previously. Half of our enrollers have done MLM before and felt they did not receive training or mentoring from their upline. That's when we introduce them to our training and mentoring program.

We mentor all our team to six figure incomes by teaching them to draw people to them. MLM is a people business. Training in the use of phone skills and closing techniques is critical to success.

Like what mike teaches. If you get in the mindset of not chasing and just want to help out a fellow marketer it makes speaking with them so much easier. Like not waiting to pounce on them with your biz op. so much easier when you just give a quick chat to see where they are at and what they want to achieve.

I have never heard of FORM. I have been a sales leader for years and this is new to me so I always appreciate it when I learn something new. I have been phone calling people that I don't know at all except through email and this is a great tool to use. I also liked the "smile" part. That is something I use to train when I did sales training but had forgotten it! Thanks for the reminder!

I can't tell you how many people have called me and they start out with a questions that tries to sell me right away their product or system. Or they talk as if they've known you for years. A lot of training needs to be done to professionalize the home business industry.

Well done. It's great to see you are teaching Dani Johnsons FORM process.

I have been online for some time and and been around the industry for many years, one thing I can say is that the old school way of building MLM is really dead. Just the fact that we now use websites, email, online video, chat, conferrence calls online, auotresponders, community websites like Better Networker, Blogs, Twitter, video sharing sites, webcams and whatever else you can name indicates that it is in fact dead. Would you like to go back to the Amway method right now? I mean you can't even begin to compare that to what we have available these days.

When people talk about the old way being dead what I often hear them qualify that with is that the only way to attract leads to your business is on the internet from people who are already online. I think people are really missing the big picture with that.

My belief is that the biggest opportunities now are in the offline world and that by using a combination of the internet and also normal business marketing channels you can reach people who are offline and bring them online. Which is exactly the strategy that we are incorporating right now.

Use websites, email, video... the whole lot, and reach out to those that are considered offline but are looking for opportunity. It has been my belief for many years (since I started reading Kiyosaki back in 2000) that as this financial crisis looms larger and traditional businesses begin to fail, that people all over the world will begin to look for opportunity and the first place they will look is on the internet. So before they get onto the net, reach out to them first... flyers, advertising, networking, events etc, and bring them online through your websites and create relationships with them online using emails and video and all other Web 2.0 techniques.

Hope all is well James, you may remember me from some of the Gold Coast meetings as well as Dream Centre.

Cheers mate...
Regards
Greg Martin
