Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the great posts!
I'm new to Magnetic Sponsoring and I have a question I'm hoping to get some guidance on.
When a person fills out the MS capture page and becomes my prospect, I understand they enter the pipeline and will start getting emails from the MS system (aka Mike Dillard). At this point, the prospect knows who Mike is, but at any point do they know who I am? Is my name anywhere in emails or ebooks? I just want to know if the first time they ever find out about me is in the follow-up phone call/email I'm supposed to make after a few days of becoming my prospect.
If this is the case, should I consider exporting my prospects into my own autoresponder system (aweber or 1shoppingcart), so I can keep my prospects warm for myself, with my own occassional newsletter? Is this what is typically done? Please help.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Greg

Thank you Mike! I am looking forward to calling my prospects, improving my skills on the phone -- and using the strategies your books and cds promote.
3 quick questions:
1. What is the rule of thumb for number of days after a prospect fills in the capture page to call them OR is it better to wait until after they purchase a retail product?
2. After the call, I was going to follow up with an email, thanking them for their time -- and including my information and a link to my opportunity in the signature.
Is this a good approach? This allows them to contact me and also look into my opportunity when they have time if they want.
3. If I hear nothing back -- should I re-contact via phone or email after a week or so??
Thanks so much for time and guidance!

Re:How will my prospects know about me, not just M
Perhaps I can answer this based on my experience...
I've tested this lots and lots and lots and as Mike said calling the prospect is the best way to move forward. I've also noticed that it can as much as 4x your affiliate commissions for MS.
You absolutely must call your prospect as SOON as they become a prospect. This way the Magnetic Sponsoring site and bootcamp are still fresh in their minds.
A lot of people just optin to a whole bunch of mailing lists and sometimes the mail ends up in their spam box. If you don't call, they will not even remember what MS is. I find for most people, the magnetic sponsoring bootcamp and capture page is the highlight of their day the day they discover it.
THere is a script to use in your Magnetic Sponsoring back office which guides you as to what to say. But let me summarise it quickly here:
You're not calling to pitch your opportunity outright. Remember they opted in to information to learn about how to market a Home Business. This of course implies they are either looking at joining one or that they are already in one.
Before you can start to even talk about your opportunity, you need to introduce yourself and then find out if they're in a business needing help with it, or if they are looking into getting started with one.
If they have a business, you encourage them to watch the videos over the next 7 days, pass on your phone number and email and tell them to get in touch if they need a hand with something.
As for the other kind, still looking for a business to join, you can market to them your opportunity. Sell yourself, your team, and your system instead of your comp plan. Sell the very things that make you unique. Good luck.

Nobody answered the original question: "How will my prospects know about me, not just Mike? ... I understand they enter the pipeline and will start getting emails from the MS system (aka Mike Dillard). At this point, the prospect knows who Mike is, but at any point do they know who I am? Everyone's answer was "you call them." But isn't that the opposite of what Mike teaches. He essentially teaches not to waste time calling people who don't call/contact you first. How are they going to even know I exist if my name and number isn't anywhere on anything they get?
This may sound like a simplistic question, but I'm just now reading MS and have had no experience with it yet.

Yes, call them!! I can speak from experience with talking with MLMS whom place biz opp ads on our site that calling is the best way to get in touch with prospects... and as for "should I follow up again if I don't hear from them in a week?" I would say follow-up again in two or three business days. A week is a long time, especially if someone does not know you, and you did not use relationship/consultative techniques in that initial call, or voicemail.
One way to brand yourself so that they can get to know you, is to make sure that if you run a PPC ad, that the landing page from that PPC goes directly to your own page that you have through Magnetic Sponsoring. This way people will have a direct link to you.
Pasted below is an example of a biz opp that runs on our web site, where you do have an opportunity to list your name, and direct phone, or voicemail number, if you wish. In this case it is not listed, but if you want people to get to know you directly, it is a starting point.

Calling your prospects is not anti-magnetic sponsoring... your lead has already raised there hand and requested more information from you. besides how would they know to call or contact you if your using a ppc campaign.
This is the reason I have my own capture/landing pages for lead generation then I backend ms in my newsletter signature or have a banner on my blog. I would have already built a relationship with that prospect with valuable information before they meet Mike or any of my other funded proposal programs.

In the MS site, there is a tab that says your prospects, who are the people that have opted in through your link to receive the magnetic sponsoring information.
I then took those emails and put them into an aweber or other auto repsonder list and also did my own follow up emails and gave them my contact information.
This started a not too intimidating dialogue and I also used this list to promote other products that have come up and of course my opportunity if they were interested.
Of the people that took up MS through my link (which is not huge at all because I am not doing nearly as much as I should) 20% signed up for the opportunity which I think was due to my personal emails.
I still haven't telephoned anyone.
Hope that helps - I know I SHOULD be good on the phone, but I am NOT, much better at writing and it works for me.

if you don't contact them they won't know about you.
Magnetic Sponsoring generates the leads for you. Mike acts as the 'middle man' in selling them on buying the course. But it is really up to you to make yourself known to them as their sponsor.
Shoot them an e-mail, give them a call, the choice is yours. DO NOT start spamming them about your biz. That is the quickest way to lose them as well as damaging the reputation of MS into the bargain!
