PPC and the Phone Call

Postby Peter Cruz on Sun Dec 21, 2008 10:10 pm

Ok, I'm kind of psyched and at the same time bummed. (bipolar?) I am running a PPC campaign to run people into my MS system "funnel." I have custom URL's that forward and mask to my affiliate links.. and I'm getting traffic. Not tons.. but some. I'm getting a decent 3+% CTR on Adwords campaign(some of my Adgroups are pulling over 11% CTR).. and I've got about a 18% opt in rate on visits to my MS site.

Here's my question, it is common to get visitors opt in and leave a bad phone#? I had 2 prospects this weekend do that. One the phone # doesn't work (some phone company message about a wrong # or something).. and the other one used a 555-555-5555 phone #. Argh!!! I sent them all emails with the followup and contact info... but it's a shame and a waste.

I was wondering what experiences any of you have had with bad phone #'s in the past.. (YES, YOU SHOULD CALL THEM!!! Right Mike? ;-)

Thanks
Peter

Peter,
I am a strong believer is "some will, some won't, so what". It is their lost if they are not honest about even a phone number. Keep your head up and don't let it bother you. My feelings on trying to get back to them after a 555 number is don't bother.

Take care,

Hey Peter,

don't take for granted that they will give you a phone number. The people who don't probably wouldn't appreciate a phone call anyway. But it's alright, because they are giving you an email address and an opportunity to follow up with them that way.

When they provide a piece of contact information they are indirectly telling you that this is their preferred contact method.

So if their email address is real, use that. Write them a personal note, ask them about themselves, and offer your help. Tell them to call you instead. You can give them the URL to your personal autoresponder series where you can sell them on your system through training and leadership.

Eventually, some will call you to ask for help as they get to know you better in your autoresponder or blog. Nothing goes to waste ;)

It's ok that they're not giving it to you right away. It's a trust issue, and they don't trust you, YET. That is where the attraction Marketing principle comes into effect. It is your job as the Network Marketer to establish the trust by building a relationship by providing value through education.

When the time is right for them, they will come to you, which is what we want. It has to be there idea when they want to buy a product from you, or buy an affiliate product endorsed by you, or join your downline. It can't be forced.

So just concentrate on building your list and establishing a relationship with that list, and over time, it will pay off. Remember the mantra in Magnetic Sponsoring,"Give without want before you can receive."
