Seth,
The how-to stuff will typically always reign support over the review sites.
See you at the top,

What do you think will be a better "Lead Generator":
1) A "review site" offering honest reviews of business opportunites &
product recommendations or
2)a site that offers a free "how to" report & teleseminar series
The reason I'm asking is I have BOTH sites right now,
but would like to focus my energy in one area primarily.
What do you think would give greater value and set me
apart from other marketers...
Thanks for your feedback!

Seth, the second because of the following:
1. Your sharing your expertise of how to.
2. This gives value and value is in a way what the people need, the client needs or entrepreneurs in the industry. Not what business owner thinks works. We can have great ideas but does it become value in the eyes of the industry, the entrepreneurs or the niche you are providing it to.
So it will not only raise your own value due to sharing knowledge in the industry but it will help a lot of people. 'How to' will always surpass reviews because people can straight away use it and apply in their life and business.
3. In the how to, you will get people who will come back and register, subscribe. I don't know about reviews. Reviews I read and walk way but if its more depth, technology, then maybe come back and register but this rarely happens with review sites.
4. You can create courses, ebooks, other products that will help people and serious ones will pay for such valuable material.
I mean, you can do reviews as well if you wish but I find, if you keep to one vital thing, Your Inc branding, people knowing you for that one thing, it seperates you from those who have their hands in many pies. It shows you are focused, have a direction, giving valuable knowledge.
It also depends on your vision; your objectives, goals - what is it you see in the future and the result you desire. This will help you answer your question even more. I think this is what you need to ask. Anyway, whatever it is you decided, may you prosper and you will.

Definitely number 2.
If you do number 1, you take the spotlight off yourself and your expertise.
