In the magnetic sponsoring course it talks about setting up a newsletter. My question is... Should this be just email or should the email lead to a web page with the content on it?
This question came because in black belt it goes into using email but the content is in the email and not leading to a web page to get the content. So i was wondering which is better or is best to start with.
I would love to hear what your thoughts/solutions are.
Thanks
Derrick

Hi Derrick, the way I see it is that a newsletter is just that - it is a "letter" that contains news. This implies it is sent regularly to your list of subscribers, say weekly or monthly.
What most marketers do who have a newsletter, is they build in advertising links to affiliate products into the body of the "news" they are sending out. These links then send the reader to a sales page for that product, when the reader clicks on that link. usually the "news" is some content relative to the affiliate product that is being marketed.
You build your subscribers list from visitors to your website, capture pages or blog.
I hope that answers your question.
Stay inspired,
Michael

Here is a post I did the other day. I had some fun with it.
main-mlm-discussion-f2/what-is-the-biggest-mistake-when-building-mlm-on-inet-t24058.html#p100215
Two things are needed to make money on the internet.
1. The capture page
2. An autoresponder
If you can't make money with those 2 things and your offer, you
won't make money doing anything else. Except of course talking
to people face to face and on the phone.
Seriously.
Besides, if you ain't mobile you're standing still!
See my sig.

Re: Which is better email or a web page?
Hey Guys,
Awesome Post!
IMO, I usually go for the all text newsletter that has some type of
image that links up to a video or audio on my blog, fan page, etc.
This way they can listen or watch me through video/audio and it allows
me to connect and bond a lot more than just text.
But thats just me!
Your Friend,
Kevin

Hey Kevin,
I agree with your idea about connecting with people face to face. It's something that's almost completely lost on all the marketers out there using technology to build their businesses. However, instead of sending people text emails, why not send them a video email either in a pre-recorded automated series or personal one to one communication? That way, the subscriber doesn't have to click on another link to go to a website. You could just send your website to the subscriber in the form of a video email. There are a couple of services that allow people to do this. Yes, I market and promote one of the more popular ones but there are others too. In the interests of not sounding too biased, companies like ComF5, Talk Fusion and My Video Talk all offer the ability to send custom video emails, create custom capture pages, utlilize auto-responders and conduct live/interactive webinars all from one place. Plus the above mentioned companies, have built-in multi-level affiliate programs so one can generate income by turning others onto these systems. There are subtle differences between all of these systems but they all do pretty much the same thing for a fraction of what it costs to use all of these services separately.
Great idea to a great question,
