Anyone making 6 figures a month? In my business, yes they definitely are! Am I? No not yet but I will be soon. My goal is $200K in a month before the end of 2010. June 2009 the top individual profit was $256K by a couple in Sydney Australia after 18 months in business. I just posted a question here aswell viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17913#p54047

Gary
That was one of my biggest mistake 8 years ago.
They said sponsor everyone, lol, so I did. 50 a month, sometimes 30 a week. And like a bucket with a hole, in, out, in and out they go.
The only good that came out of that was frendship, and most of all my confidence, and as I grew I started meeting high proffesional income earners but I do look back, sometimes.
I wonder on how I could have helped the people who were already in. That is in a way, I think about sometimes at night, not because of money but because, I could have given more value, trained the team better, focused in developing the serious ones, gave more. Enriched their lives more, listened more, see what help they need more of.
I forgot totally why I was in business, the dream to help people, change their lives. The precious things because I was so aggressive in sponsoring, recruiting, going for it like crazy and not thinking about quality, about the team and their needs, and structure and a lot of things.
Biggest mistake I made in those early months and year but I learnt. The hard way.
Now, well, I'm other way, aggressive in not letting anyone in but not in a bad way, but I ask questions, and I until I'm satisified I am not wasting my time from my family and my life.
It took me one year, to call all of the ones I still had contact not to get them back in but to apologise. And see if they ok.
Still, even then, I sometimes wonder. Went wide too damn fast and uplines were just not ready either cause they were new too. And I didn't know anything back then, was new as well.
Anyway, it is a lesson that stayed with me and a good one for me to learn from.

Re: Anyone making 6 figures a month?
Great insights so far. Agree with several points:
1) Pick one company, and unless something is seriously wrong with the company, stick with it. Do not jump from company to company. It won't allow you to build anything.
2) Don't be overwhelmed by the online "buffet" as there is a TON of information out there. Focus on one or two things that you can do to generate leads (primary goal). Then take the rest of your time and focus on WORKING your business - the phone calls, lead follow up, appointment setting, and presentations. The core money makers. If you spend too much time looking at the next best internet marketing thing that will generate a gazillion leads in 2 hours, you will waste your time. You need to work your business.
Good luck to everyone! Great post.

I'm not at 6 figures YET... but that was killer insight!
You can see it in the conversations that take place here. There are so many trivial conversations about how to tweak this or tweak that, or which system is best or yada, yada, yada.
HI Rich,
I completely agree. That is why I avoid trivial talk. The bottom line is that both old school and new school work. Many people are failing at both because they have mastered neither.

The bottom line, was never about whether old school or new school work. The bottom line is, effective marketing.

Re: Anyone making 6 figures a month?
In one of Mike Dillard's audio programs, (black belt recruiting?) he says something like this:
"Have you ever been to an event where they recognize someone who has only been with the company a few months, but is already a top producer and making more money than you do after working the program for a lot longer and wondered how they did it? It's because they spent the last 5 or 6 years gaining the knowledge and experience and making the connections that make that kind of "overnight success" possible."
I had to go back and make sure I heard it right, because I knew it was true.
Anyway, why is 6 figures such a magical milestone?
I like 7 better.

In many cases that is true however, we basically spent a ton of money (which I don't recommend) in advertising because that is what our up-line "was doing", (finding out later that they were teaching on theory using "OPM" Other peoples money!)
We were in the wine business before we joined the MLM world. We had one family member and a friend/colleague who joined us in the beginning and the rest were all off of our ad campaigns. We reached our 6 figures but the reality is, most people will not or can not advertise like we did and therefore it caused us to find additional venues.
I am with you on believing 7 figures and even 8 are more exciting than 6, but most people would be thrilled to even make 5 figures in NWM and never do because they either quit, or jump around.
We are here to stay and grateful that we have an incredible team to grow with.
P.S. If you are in the service, THANK YOU!

Is something wrong with me? I'm not making six figures yet..lol
However, I'm delighted by the fact that if I calculate the earnings I gained from this industry during the past 12 months, I'm in the five figure arena and earning more than some of my peers who are employees.
