We reached a six figure income in our network marketing company in 8 months.
I have the 1099's to validate it.
There truly are people out there who do. I found that the more scattered we got in our "marketing efforts" meaning following all the self proclaimed gurus, trying to LEARN the online world, the less we did with our primary business.
Granted, there are some GREAT tools out there for marketing and development but jumping around from one company to the next is not the answer. We are and will remain loyal to our network marketing business and we have found a few affiliates that are helpful for earning extra marketing dollars.
Mike Dillard for one, has been a Godsend! His MS teachings are spot on.

JoAnn & Felix...
I'm not at 6 figures YET... but that was killer insight!

The one major issue I have seen with the advent of all the "popular" online marketing training and strategies, etc., etc., is that it renders so many people's time wasted, because the buffet is simply overwhelming.

You can see it in the conversations that take place here. There are so many trivial conversations about how to tweak this or tweak that, or which system is best or yada, yada, yada.

And I don't blame anyone for falling for it. I have and still do, find myself spiraling down the occasional rabbit hole.... and when I finally look up and wipe my eyes I realize what a stupid amount of time I just wasted chasing the white rabbit, I almost always come back to the basics - Work The Plan!

Those gooroos are really good at what they do though... And it's easy for us to get sucked in.
Geez - no wonder they make bank! But I fully agree, picking a few tools and USING them consistently is mission critical.

Loyalty is another point you mention that I strongly agree with. Again I think its this "buffet" mentality that enables people to always be on the hunt for "the next best thing," or simple laziness. They want it now, they want it fast and they want it easy. When they get into a company and realize there's work involved and it's not as easy as the presenter at the hotel meeting made it sound - they jump ship and bail. Chasing that white rabbit again.

So thanks again for that short and sweet look at how its REALLY done.
Cheers!

Aloha Richard,
Thank you for your kind words and honest feedback :) This has been an incredible journey for us and we have jumped down our fair share of Rabbit Holes over the past few months and fell flat on our faces in some cases. You are so right when you say the "buffet is overwhelming" !

It confirmed my loyalty to the company who has supported us in getting to where we are today. We are proud of the fact that we NEVER waivered in our choice of companies. We have been "pitched" on so many latest and greatest opportunities, but the truth of the matter is, nothing compares to the one we chose, in our eyes. I find myself feeling like Dorothy tapping those red ruby slippers reciting, "there's no place like home, there's no place like home"

As a mentor with a team watching EVERYTHING we do, I have taken that responsibility to heart and want them to know that we are not out there chasing rainbows, we are in it for the long haul, and remain true to our mission in helping them get everything they want out of their businesses. The tools are helpful, but man it is a mad mad world out there in internet land!!! LOL

Sending you thoughts for a wonderful and fun day!

I truly believe that it's not the Company that we align ourselves with that is the determining factor as to whether we are going to end up with a six figure income. I think it boils down to our mindset and our ability to take positive action each day towards achieving our goals.
Yes, for most there is going to be a learning curve....for some, it will even seem like a mountain. However, we have to do the groundwork. It is going to be easier for some that for others, but we will all get there is we persevere. It also helps to have a few mentors...in fact, I would say that it is highly unlikely that someone is going to reach a six-figure income without having had the guidance of mentors and coaches.
There are numerous six-figure income earners in the Company I am with. I know some of these people personally and they are for real. You don't find them on the Forums because they are out having a great time on the beach, traveling, etc. because their success is now allowing them this freedom. Isn't that what we all want....the freedom to do what we want, when we want!
I think that there are numerous members here on BN who are on their way to becoming six-figure earners. Some people would prefer not to discuss their earnings. In fact, my Company has just announced that their members are no longer allowed to promote their websites by declaring their earnings as a carrot to entice new prospects. This will level the playing field for those who are just entering the business.

All your posts were great, I agree you really need to pick a company you are passionate about and stick with it. It will be very hard to get success if you jump to different companies all the time.

However if you have the opportunity to earn from several world class MLM companies while only working one, I imagine efforts would be rewarded earlier. That's what I am doing, I figure if all my efforts can go across to other companies while I can concentrate on 1 that can only be a plus.

To everyone reading, I hope we all reach our financial goals and I wish you the best of luck in your chosen MLM.

Regards, Kim :)

I have agree with all the posts above..

If you been jumping from program to program and

haven't made any money then you will have to

start doing something different. You will have to

pick a company you like and then spend the next 5 years

working with that company. Until you see success.

Jan is correct. It is much more about
"mindset" and your willingness to take action
on a daily basis than it is about the company
you select.

That's why so many networkers who chase after
the latest start-up fail time and time again.

Formula for success: find the right sponsor, a
strong upline team that'll work with you (that
has a good SYSTEM in place), an ethical
company that's got good growth. THEN,
apply yourself. Put the blinders on, focus,
and take consistent daily action.

Put your goals in writing and GO FOR IT.

Keep distractions to a minimum. Recruit
people who WANT success, then work with
them to help them create it.

It's easy... and it's hard. That's network
marketing.

One more thing: you will find some of us
seven & six figure earners on this forum,
even when we are traveling and on the
beach. (I'm on vacation along the Emerald
Coast, and as I type this, here's the view
I'm enjoying this afternoon):

Bottom line: anything you do for a living that
has the potential to generate serious income is
hard... but very few things can serve up the
lifestyle freedom that network marketing can.

It takes a lot of work... but that work CAN
pay off!

FOOL= Is someone who does the same thing over and over again
expecting a different result. As Anthony quotes!

It's difficult to say focused when so much information funnels into our email and on the Internet. There are so many excellent programs, ideas, propositions and offers, that I am often distracted. Bottom line is what some of you have been saying; as long as you like your product/company stay with it and develop that opp. Too many are expecting to find that rich quick pill and today's marketing appeals to that.

I'm glad to see that many people with a good moral compass and good work ethics make it by sticking with their plan. KISS remember the acronym for Keep It Simple Stupid! I have this in a sign on my wall and glance at it often.

Thanks for the honesty. I am a newbie but I won't be forever. I have done just as you suggested and joined a team that has been so incredible and a system that is teaching me all about blogging, social networking and allows me to manage all my prospects from one place (that one thing is such a huge time and energy saver). But most importantly I KEEP AT IT! I still work 8-10 hours Mon-Fri. and another 5-10 during the weekends. I would have done this for anyone else I went to work for so why not me!

I use some other great tools to help set those goals and keep me focused that have increased my ability to get things done but most of all I KEEP AT IT and in the few months I have been at it I am seeing things start to happen.

I want to be the next 6 figure earner to be able to send out a comment from somewhere out there...

Hey, Mr. Weiser;

I couldn't agree more with your comment. I just finished listening (again) to the Black Belt Recruiting series you and Mike put together and it occurs to me that the reason for so many people not making money in network marketing is partly because of overaggressive recruiting.

Too many people are in this business that shouldn't be. Many of them were sold on getting rich quick and aren't willing to take the time to groom a quality prospect list. Perhaps this would account for the high attrition rate in downline.

You said it all in your post here Mike;

"Bottom line: anything you do for a living that
has the potential to generate serious income is
hard... but very few things can serve up the
lifestyle freedom that network marketing can".

Thanks;
