Re: Are Business Cards Dead?
The most important thing about having and exchanging business cards is that you are building your own list. It is a powerful tool and resource to have that would be exclusive of any other lists. Why buy lists when you can build them yourself for free. Now you know everyone on that list and can also direct your emails pacifically for that person.

One real fact is that everything has its own importance. Business cards also have their own importance and no one can't ignore their importance. Through the business cards anybody may contact any of where, by calling you or by any other way.

I never offer a business card because people just chunk them or lose them. I would much rather, if someone asks me for a card, tell them "I don't have one but give me your number and email and I can send you my contact information." This way I have their contact info to follow up with.

Re: Are Business Cards Dead?
Seems like every time I give out a business card, I have to change the phone number or something on it.
I have paid top dollar for business cards but the one thing I learned the most is to personally make a good impression before giving someone your card.
People will remember how you made them feel before they remember the card you gave them. I see very little people but if I do travel to a large event, they are a necessity.
I will pull mine out of the drawer right now and get it updated.
Thanks,
Terry

Make your business cards scanable with a QR Code. I teach to link them to mobile capture pages, mobile websites and to your mobile app. Drop cards are alive again. http://bit.ly/digibranding

Seriously your bottom line is to get the contacts info, not how many business cards that you hand out!
