You always ask great questions Joyce. I love topics you bring up. Awesome! Great replies too. Loving the passion I'm seeing here. Man, we got an awesome community here, haven't we Joyce.
On your question....
The answer is no. We are not moving away from residual income. In fact, this message of residual plays a big factor when sponsoring people but I don't say..
"Do you want residual income."
Instead, it's sitting down, finding out the need of that personal, and speaking in a language of THEIR brain. They may see residual income as...
"Having a business that pays for my rent! Yes!"
"I can go on more holidays if I build a team and we, together break sales records, as a team! Yes!"
"I can have more time with my children, wife or husband."
I've been in Amway for a while now Joyce. I'm glad I have too because the respect I get now, from even people who said no, or who laughed, who mocked, who didn't turn up AND those who were in and left, is big.
It's big because I saw the big picture.
I knew, technology, would help to develop a...team, to train them faster, better to help them generate sales no matter if they are beginner or advanced.
Residual income has not changed.
Nothing has changed.
Sure technology has come.
Sure there are lots of systems.
Sure, there are other opportunities.
But...nothing...has changed. The brain is the same as it was way back in caveman and woman days.
The need to SURVIVE and WIN.
The problem is, people join Network Marketing and get HAMMERED in Amway, in other companies and it has nothing to do with these companies.
I got hammered to at first.
Well, you see back then why you were broke. You see why you attract worse kind in life. You see why you were where you were. You see the TRUTH.
Lack of true communication skills.
Lack of social and people skills.
Lack of mindset on comittment, perserverance and a whole lot of habits to sort out.
Lack of sales skill.
Lack of marketing skills.
All these were perception most thought they HAD such skills.
They had sod all. They had nothing. They were hammered in Amway, in Network Marketing industry because through ALL our lives we were selfish.
We only thought of ourselves. We cared ONLY of ourselfs and our unit family.
But when the person stepped into Network Marketing....they saw...something.
Some were brave enough to see it through and think, "Yeah, that's me. Damn! I need to change. No wonder I have had hard time in life."
Others saw themselves and what it is going to...take to change and thought..
"Forget that. I'll try another opportunity."
And I won't be surprised, they have moved into 10 different ventures until they realised, it isn't about company, product or time. They have to pick up the lesson they wouldn't way back and learn them.
It was Joyce, one of the most painful times for me back then. All team left.
All gave BS excuses back then. Even uplines who left.
But you know what?
I thnk God I believed enough in myself and what I'm doing to stay in and see for what it is. That the problem isn't the change out there we think is happening.
The problem was myself.
So I hammered it Joyce.
I locked myself and hammered it and everyday.
Took me years to learn what I know now. Years and I feel AWESOME! I feel great! It's freedom for real! I'm talking about feeling awesome due to the knowledge, real sales skills and marketing...and understanding what IS NETWORK MARKETING!
No, residual income hasn't gone away. It's BIG. It's MASSIVE!
