I've tried several different ones. Constant Contact, IContact and Aweber.
I have to say I like Aweber the best.
It's bit more expensive than the others but it has all the options you could ever want and I find that is you write your content correctly it does a good job of not ending up in peoples spam folders.

Two that I have tried and recommend are iContact and MailChimp. I really liked iContact, it is economical ($9.95 w/ 250ppl or less) and it delivers very well.
MailChimp is free for the first 1,000 subscribers and it has many features like customizing your email design, it's mobile, adds social media buttons to emails, etc... Hope this helps.
Best regards,

Joel aside from "how many" subscribers you can get for X price, I would be more concerned with the deliverability of the service.
There's plenty of services out there that have "unlimited" subscriber accounts.
But 50%+ of your emails never even get delivered.
You have hundreds of articles posted here, many of which teach about autoresponders and email marketing.
Maybe you can share some valuable insider info with us based on your extensive background...
So if you don't mind me asking, what are you using now and why are you looking for an alternative?
Is there something wrong with the service, or maybe an inadequacy we should all know about?
Anxiously awaiting your response... Thnx!

Hi Jessica,
Be very careful recommending MailChimp to people in the network marketing/home based biz/affiliate marketing arena. Every one of those industries are listed as a violation of MailChimp's terms of service.
I personally know of a buddy who lost an enormous list that was hosted with MailChimp as they one day out of the blue shut his account down because he was in the mlm industry. Mind you, it was not based on complaints or spamming ... they simply deemed his "business model" a violation of their TOS and canned his account.

Re: Best Autoresponders?
It depends on what you are using it for.
If it is just to build and maintain a mailing list, then I agree with George that Aweber is the way to go. However, if you would like to use it as an "open-import" auto-responder, which means that you can import your own opt-in leads and do mass email campaigns, then Digital Ad Gear is clearly one of the best.
I listed the link for you in Website #4 of my profile. You should check it out. Many top earners use it as a secret weapon to generate massive amounts of leads by purchasing opt-ins and co-reg leads from vendors such as National-leads and uploading them into this responder.
I myself have used it and it works quite well. They even include 5k leads with the basic package.

Wow, I had no idea! Thanks for letting me know Richard.
Yesterday I also did alittle comparing and for the $ in the long run and the service, Aweber is better than iContact. They are both good, but iContact is cheaper at the "begining" but Aweber saves you more in the long run. - Jessica

+1 for aweber...its 19.99 per month, plus you can make a commission with your free affiliated account...pretty good in my opinion. And the training is great.

@Jessica...
Yeah MailChimp can be useful for some purposes.
It really sucks too because I actually love their interface and metrics dashboards and deliverability is awesome. Which is actually why they claim to exclude those industries - to keep spam complaints low which increases deliverability with ISPs.
But I wouldn't build my primary list with them for my "mlm type biz."
It's just too risky.

Most people are using getresponse and aweber and those are by
far the most popular and professionals out there in every case.
Hope this helps.
