These are all great sources that are time consuming because of the time it takes to share content and comment.

Document sharing sites are good for sustainable traffic. Sites like DocStoc, SlideShare, and Scribd. Also, there are a number of ways to use articles in terms of sustainable traffic.

You could go for highly competitive keywords and rank well with EzineArticles. Also, when doing keyword research, look at which web 2.0 sites are ranking for that keyword. I like doing this with highly competitive keywords. You can easily rank right below the web 2.0 site as a double listing if you're using the site that's ranking for that word.

Hey guys thanks for the all info,

I've definitely tested traffic swarm and have stats of results in my AdLab, it's ok . . . You can make more than you spend if you pay the $30 per month (like double your money which isn't bad from a passive standpoint), but from a time investment standpoint doing it free, it's HUGE waste of time.

That's why I haven't added it yet myself to the list.

I would not rule out videos. With proper keyword research, a good video and a couple of back links you can get alot of traffic from that. I have a couple of videos on the first page for these keywords:

Generic MLM Network Marketing

With proper tracking you could track the clicks coming from your favorite video hosting site...

Hey Daegan,

It will be interesting to see the results of the test.

I don't know if my opinion will bring much to your particular test but I believe that a sustainable source of traffic is like a good investment: It has to be diversified to be solid.

Overall we have no control over the content we put out there and if you rely on one place to generate traffic (like rely on one source of income), if it is cut under your feet, you are back to square one. Many people relied on traffic from videos from Youtube early this year. That was until the YouTube slap... The one who did not have any other sources of traffic had to start all over again from scratch.

So finding "the best" is good to make sure to use it but in my opinion it is far better to make sure to hit more than the one best place.

Especially now with so many tools available that will help you generate content for various places like article directories, video sites, blogs, rss, web 2.0, press releases, etc all with a few clicks it would be a shame to not do it all!

If you want to add to your list, how about press releases and free classified ads? It's fairly easy to make it regular and generate some good targeted traffic from there as well.
