Leaders are readers , every day I try to at least read for a hour about something related to the industry. If you read every day you will all ways have fresh material to write about .

Reading about the industry helps me stay on top of my game .any other thoughts on this ?

Staying involved in the BN forums and participating in the discussions, blogging and checking on your website are all activities that we can do every day or even as a couple of times every week. You must not limit yourselves to reading on one line of thought. Most of my insight and success comes from stories and articles on unrelated matters to my business. I find much comes from reading about science, medical and technology breakthroughs. These give you a glimpse of where things are heading globally.

Reading everyday is essential for understanding what steps you must take next to bring your success to ever higher levels.

Reading is a great thing to do. As you say you can get a great amount of insperation from what you read. You can also look to increase your page rank and traffic to your site by finding do follow blogs in you niche and reading articles there. Then when you comment on the blog you can get a link back to your site if it is a do-follow.

Also look for sites that have commentluv, with this feature you get a link back to your latest blog post if you have a blog.

Then you have two links to your site and have found new and fresh topics/content to write about.

I as most leaders in their industry read
a lot to find inspiration.
Your brain is a muscle and needs to be
worked ,just like your body.I also do
crosswords as well.
Just do not read all the wrong stuff
that fills your inbox every morning.

Hi Alvin,
I agree totally, one of the best ways to self educate yourself. In fact a little snippet I went away for a couple of days over new year couldn't decide which book to take so I took all 6 little books of inspiration all with me in my handbag, you see they are all on my kindle (christmas present) and so fab because it allows you to highlight, note and bookmark etc, so brilliant for blogging later all at the touch of a button! As I'm writing this I'm thinking wasted opportunity for an amazon affiliate link for a kindle!!
