Yes posting ads does work. However, as with anything else online, theres a strategy to it. If you post Free ads, there are a ton of free ad sites online. The list the previous members gave are some of the best. With free ads, you will need to post weekly, or more frequently, to keep them near the top and you will need to use a adtracker to see the results you are getting. If you are not getting good results, you will have to tweak the ads. Paid ads are better, but can be expensive. You'll need to write an effective ad, subject line to get people to open. You'll have to target the right people too. If it's written effectively, it's worth it, but can be very time-consuming!

I was recently toying around with ads and came across the unemployment website in my local area. I signed up on the website as an "Employer", posted two ads and was very surprised to find that within 3 days, I have received 48 Resume's (and counting) from working people, possibly looking to join the NWM industry! I am very excited about it. I began calling prospects this evening, with very good results. So my answer is yes it does work.

Hi Jacquelyn,
Head over to YouTube and type in "Classified Ad Submitter"
or "Classified Ad Script" or something to that effect and you
will find more options than you can shake a stick at.

And I can shake sticks at A LOT of stuff.

Most will walk you through how the system works and give
you a link. If you don't understand what they are doing or
saying, move on to the next one. There are so many options,
you should be able to find one that suits your needs.

To be honest I don't really advertise on these websites because I found the type of people who join are not suitable and even if they happen to join they waste your time and end up leaving!

So the answer to your question, yes it does work but I think it depends on the business to see how effective it is.

I have never really been a big fan of classafied ads as the traffic is not that targeted, I find that solo ads work real well for me.

..I have used classifieds all my life to find out if my offer is a GO!..

like any marketing schedule, you should keep a track record of everything you do and track your results with each.

Personally, I'm going to be starting a new campaign on classifies alone starting with the top 10 I've found to get the most traffic and where there's better odds of leverage.

There are hundreds of dead classifieds out there, but the ones listed here are a great start.

One method that's worked for me when I tested this a while ago was to offer something that will actually help them make money IF they followed your system or busienss opportunity. Better yet, show them how they can make money REGARDLESS if they join you or not. And the strangest thing happens...

Most if not all of them end up joining you ANYWAY.

It works. Don't pitch. Offer free advice.

So there ya go. That's the angle I'm taking with it, and I already know it'll generate solid numbers for my effort and time.

Free classifieds works but it should be one part of your Marketing plan, not your whole marketing plan. With that said, yes I have tried free classified ads on the internet and I did generate leads but it you want to generate a good amount of leads you need to post everyday (consistency) and you need to do a lot of them...I would say @ least 30 different sites. it is very time consuming, so if you have more time than money then it's good to start with....you can always outsource it later.
