Is there anyway I can take off friends lists from my facebook by any chance. I can't believe how many send me links to this nonsense and it has really got on my nerves. I want to take them off my list. Or can I block them?

Jeesh, what is it with people jumping into one thing and another?

I can't believe they sent me emails on this. As if there's not enough of all this online.

Some people might find this useful. Personally I could care less, but I know several of my friends would enjoy the features. It sucks that they had to go and set it up like an MLM so they get tons of people who won't ever using it promoting it all over facebook hoping to make some money.

I would imagine it won't be long before people are spamming people on their friends list with sales-related chat requests. many people ignore e-mails, and now there are all kinds of spam filters and messages can easily be filtered, filed, and deleted as needed. phones don't have that yet. and while people ignore messages on facebook and myspace if they seem spammy as well, at least for a little while people are gonna find it hard to resist checking the texts that come across from this thing, and especially amongst people in our industry i'm sure plenty of it will just be for promotional purposes.

and you'll have to pay standard text messaging fees. imagine that. if you get pam messages across the service you are actually paying money to be scammed... TWICE, paying the monthly fee and paying the text message rates... now THAT is my cup of tea, I'm signing up now!

Like I admitted, I don't know much about the service, but I do know that it's attracting a bunch of folks that I would rather not associate with (i.e. those who lack business sense proper social media etiquette, and are prone to hype).

Maybe, just maybe..., the spam messages I (and some of my friends like DK himself) have been getting are the exception to the group who are part of this MLM, but gosh-darn-it-poop they sure taint this whole new "MLM business" for me.

Maybe this will become a multi-billion dollar business in the next few months and I'll end up eating my own words and kicking myself for not jumping on the bandwagon. But somehow, I doubt it.

I am going with my gut feeling on this one.

I have a little different take on this.

This thing is going viral quickly and it is the first MLM type structure I have seen on Facebook.

I just got off the phone with a friend of mind who needs cash in a hurry.

My advise to him was promote this thing like their is no tomorrow if he believes in. It is very likely that by tomorrow this tool will be saturated and by next month there will be a free alternative.

However, I think he can make some quick cash which is not always a bad thing.

I also told him why I was not promoting it and my reasons are similar to the ones listed in the posts above.

However, I do wish that I was the one who came up with this application and would love to pick the brains of the people behind it.

At the end of the day, we are all "sheep" and we are all following somebody. In this case, the sheep are moving quickly as opposed to slowly.

I mean really? Does this feel like Web Prosperity to anyone else? I am getting tons of emails about this crap daily now and in my groups, trying to keep this crap out of there, WOW!

Someone needs to knock some sense into these people that promote anything that comes across their emails.
Furthermore I am on my phone enough texting and taking calls for my business, the last thing I want is my text messages blowing up with more ways for people to spam me. After all isn't that what the majority of the IM's are from FaceBook? So now I can pay $6 a month so people can text me "hey..." just to be followed by "have you seen this?". Please this kind of crap is why I left MySpace and never looked behind. Actually it is this crap being shamelessly promoted that reminds me to go shut down my MySpace page.
Thanks Chat to Text App promoters. One more thing to cross off my list of things to do - "delete MySpace account" what a relief.
The good thing about these type of programs is that is separates the real marketers from the rest. It becomes very clear which ones are out there for the shameless promotions from the ones that are reall out there to make an impact and help others.

The fact is, everyone and their grandma is going to pay their 5.95 ... its no different than pushing the next big affiliate product, the next training product, whatever.

If My Space went MLM, people had better be all over it! This will be the first exposure some of these people have to that lovely 'pyramid' picture of the downline and monthly residuals.
