Thank you, Daisy! 'jumping back a bit to Dave's and James' comments ... sometimes the "inner bully" in each of us is challenged! As a nurse-attorney I've encountered more than my fair share ... but enjoy the art of embracing it! 'wishing the need for infrequent guest appearances by our inner bully. The facts are often a powerful response. ~ Patti

Hey John... almost missed your comment! :D

You stated you like to "follow with my eye both open"

that's a good thing since, leaders need followers and keeping your eyes open you can see where you're going!

A good follower understands what the leader is trying to get across.

Don’t go along with something if you feel it does not coincide with your beliefs, if you see that it has value, then by all means represent it to the best of your ability.

Thanks for stopping in!

Hi Gilmar,

Thanks for joining in the discussion. You stated that a great leader can help people "see and bring the Giant within".

It would mean that it starts with communication... yes?

It is not an easy feat, many of us take communication for granted and believe that just because we can utter words we are communicating. Yet, it is in our ability to use words to convey images and evoke feelings that we can begin intense adventures and relationships. It is also mastering the other areas of communication:

The Message (which includes the context and medium), The Speaker (sender) and The Audience (receiver) are key components, and Feedback (action or simply silence).

A key component to being a great leader would be... being a Great Communicator.

Awaken the giant within!

Leaders are like Donald Trump or Diddy..People ASK to work with them or for them.

Leaders don't need to pitch their opportunity to ANYONE!!!

They're like a red ferrari or black rolls royce phantom: EVERYONE follows that car!!!

If you're STILL pitching your opportunity to people, or even online, please do yourself a favor and STOP!!! You're GOING to go out of business and quit, unless your "WHY" is because you want that red ferrari or black rolls royce...lol. People don't care about your opportunity, people join LEADERS!!!

Much success to everyone out there.

How exactly do you expect to build a downline if you don't ask people
to join you?

It's not a question of chasing people, but you still have to present an offer
if you want people to take action don't you?

Hi James

:D It seems like you and Dave are old friends!

Blunt is good, it compresses time and you can move into 'production'.

Something tells me you're good at cutting to the chase!

begging was what i was really trying to say. Calling back 10 times, leaving messages, even when they don't respond. Thats NOT what someone should do if they're going to become a leader. And YES, if you're pitching your opportunity to someone from the jump, you are perceived as a "salesmen"....I'll take the Donald Trump approach any day James.

man, just keep doing what you do to be successful, if you don't understand me then thats fine. I have my views of a follower and my views of a leader. Your views and mine are different, and it really doesn't matter to me. Your not reading my second response correctly. Like I said, if you're pitching your opportunity at first to someone, then good luck.

go have lunch and get over it. Leaders, in my "opinion", CERTAINLY don't go back and forth on the same thread. Have a great weekend.

James and Lee,

I gotz to jump in the pool... it's getting HOT in here! :P

I have heard a saying that goes: "Build it and people will come".

I believe that leaders are "fire starters", they become ablaze, they are passionate at the core.
Followers stick around for the heat, they don't want to burn.

If this is your life, set yourself on fire and the world will come and watch you burn.

Follower or leader the BEST person to compete with is YOURSELF... can you push through yesterday's best?

I say: Run your own race.

Hi Daisy,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Most people I have found are followers. Scripts don't work even though many leaders and gurus still share this with their downlines. It works much better to listen to people and offer to share with them something that might work for them and followup to see if they have any questions. Sharing from the heart always works best and putting people first before money. It never works to high presssure. I have found that many poeple complain but are not truly willing to change to solve their problem. Have a great day!
