Hello,

I have been apart of the Better Networker group for some time. But this is the first time that I have actually utilized the resources here. I don't know if this question belongs here or not but here goes. I recently was afforded the opportunity to promote an website development company for a referral or commission fee of 30 to 40%. The problem I am having is that I am new to marketing. I am also doing this by word of mouth, don't have any money, and have no idea on what to do to find leads for his business. If there is anyone out there who could lead me to articles, ideas, and strategies to help me out would be great. I look forward to all advice and information.

There are some free tactics you can use but you can start by using the following two strategies to the fullest:

FB Marketing ( Fan Page + Groups + Valuable content syndication)..

Article Marketing.. Write articles and submit on document sharing sites..DocStoc is very well liked by Google and your content can have high ranking if you do on page optimization..

There is a lot to do to brand yourself in this business.
You can get on facebook, twitter or any social media site and let people get to know you. You may want to post an ad or something on these sites. You can also place an ad right here on the Betternetworker site.
Talking to people and introducing them to your website is one way to get people to your site.
Help people by solving their problems for them. Encourage and inspire people as you meet them and present yourself as an expert in your field.
You have a lot to learn as you get started in your business. The main thing is to always keep your name out there for people to get familiar with it.
Don't let the ups and downs bother you. Don't let the small stuff bother you. It's all small stuff!

Well what kind of leads are you talking about What kind of company or products? Without that we won't know how to direct you!

In addition to article marketing you could do much by building good relationship with people. Through exchange of ideas you would sell your website to lots of people.

Thanks for all of the replies. The business I am promoting is a internet marketing firm. They provide services to individuals and business who want to have an online presence and would like to be ranked at the top of the search engines. The do website design and maintenance, seo campaigns, social media campaigns, and internet and affiliate marketing. I am looking for people who would like these services. My goal is to find ways to recruit these lead or referrals and then have the owner close on these potential leads.
