If you've been in for 4 years (in ANY business) you are NOT a newbie!

Let me explain...

If you've been going to meetings, if you've been reading and paying attention to trends in the industry, if you know about concepts like Personal Branding and the "Funded Proposal"... guess what? YOU ARE NOT A NEWBIE!

You DO have knowledge that your prospects do NOT have... so in their eyes - YOU ARE THE EXPERT!

Justin's right - definitely leverage your upline's success (or other people's success in your company), but don't RELY on your upline to make you a leader. YOU are the only one that can do that.

And the best start to becoming a leader is, first, stop calling yourself a newbie.

I don't mean to sound harsh (if I am, my apologies)... but I WENT THROUGH THE SAME THING! .. so I know where you're coming from.

The moment I said that it was MY business, and I started taking the role of the leader THROUGH MY ACTIONS, then I started getting results.

Hope that helps!

Forget about the 4 years with no success. Consider your business from the day you got hold of Magnetic Sponsoring. (you do have it, right?)

Start using Mike's experience and do exactly what he did. You've got the knowledge of what not to do from your experience of failure. Now, with MS, you've got the knowledge of what to do instead using Mike's experience of success.

Study it and apply it. Every day. If you get it wrong, go back and do it again. And keep doing it till you get it right.

As for being a 'newbie', you're in great company.

I'm just a newbie who was too stubborn to quit

Okay, I finally opened up.

To portray yourself as a expert you have to at least be knee deep in this industry called attraction marketing. Yes your primary business may be called Networking Marketing company but no one wants to be sold on your opportunity. Give your readers VALUE stuff to read with your articles, blogs, or video. Be active on social sites like Magnetic Sponsoring or Squidoo.

Visit forums like this answer people's questions and WRITE quality articles/blogs. If you haven't done so already enroll in Mike Dillard's 7 Day boot camp and get the book Magnetic Sponsoring. Here is another site I found very useful that goes hand in hand with Magnetic Sponsoring its called Renegade University. This site gives you the fundamentals of Attraction Marketing then you will become the hunted not the hunter.

To your success,

What books have you read about sales letters?

Here is one of my website that I wrote a sales letter for:

How do I portray as an expert when I am a newbi

You don't need to be an expert to make it big in this industry. Surround yourself with experts and successful people...introduce your prospects to them. Let the experts and successful people in your company do the talking...keep your mouth shut and learn from them. Sometimes...if you have been in the industry long enough and haven't had much success...it could be because you're attempting to be the expert and are not learning/listening. Dani Johnson says it best...weigh your ego with your bank account!

Also, I was taught a few things on this subject. First, it's better to be in the right place at the right time than to be the smartest person. You're in MLM...as long as you are in a good company...you're in the right place already. Also...people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. Are you focusing on you and your opportunity...or the prospect? Most MLMers focus on themselves and their opportunity...the prospect is only interested in one thing...themselves...what's in it for the prospect?
