There has been a lot of great advice here. Anything I add will probably have been already said.

My experience falls in line with do they have there why . Why are they there with you in the first place . If everything is in place , the only thing you can do is lead by example! Train as far as you can go with each person on there level of experience.

Depending on the details of there not getting it you have to listen to them and go there for them and with them .

I believe that at one time or another everybody is a piece of coal , but on the inside there is always more. its our job or responsibility to try and bring that out of them and turn that piece of coal into a diamond .

You have to forget about you and what you want , put them first , you will get yours in the end . And in most cases you will get more from it than you expected.

Some folks will come along faster than others , because there ready to make that change in life , ( for things to change , you have to change first )

The squeaky wheel always get the oil right . So oil it . but you leave all the wheels on the wagon . Most of us have only a small hand full of people who are getting it , but the mass of people for nothing else but volume and momentum and growth needs to be in place as well .

lead by example , as much as you can be there for those who are ready , the others will come right along when there ready , and the finally get a glimpse of whats going on right in front of them .

It is my sincere hope that this helps someone and i stayed focused on the topic of this forum

And the worst part is, as long as they choose ignorance, they can't make money, and neither can you.


Please -- Don't make the mistake of telling yourself that if others choose ignorance, then by default they determine your fate and ability to make money! Only YOU can determine that.

This reminds me of the cliche, "...it's like herding cats." You can't make them go anywhere, but boy if you pop the top off a tuna can....they're gonna come running!

- You have to take charge
- You have to lead (regardless of followers!)

Your success will make the smart one's open their eyes and get up and follow.

I don't.

They are not people to bully into some submission or get our belief, ideas, business, products shoved down their throat.

The only reason a person tries to do that is they are desperate, needy and have not understood the basic principles of prospecting, marketing and networking.

If a network marketer is doing that, then back off. Leave the prospects alone and have the self respect and decency for ones own business and respect the people, e.g prospect.

They didn't ask for someone to TELL them what is best for them. The prospect didn't ask to know about the business opportunity or product. Just have value, lead by example and have self respect.

And raise the bar.

The reason why someone would try and even do that, is they haven't got their own system in place, which is a process of how one qualifies, gets to know people, network, asks questions, educates and leads by example.

And to get both worlds connect and work together, e.g, offline and online.

Have these elements work together to attract, qualify, lead, eduate, engage and have everything in place. It doesn't have to be right fancy. The main thing is make it relevant to your targeted prospect and know your story.

If they ask for more info, don't shove it down their throat. Lead them to it because sometimes, it is about timing, it's about professionalism, listening and asking the right questions.

it's not rocket science. Its a people's business.

I feel like the short answer to "How do you get through to people who just don't get it?" is.....You don't get through to them, right away at least. Maybe I'm just "re-saying" what many others have said, but I feel like that I've gotten in my own way with this one several times over. Sometimes I, and maybe some of you, forget that just because I'm really excited about my opportunity doesn't mean that are prospects is, or ever will be as excited as we are! I feel very honored to a part of this network and I've read much of what many of you have written. One thing I think we all can relate to is that we all need to seem like a credible/reliable resource to our prospects. Even if we accomplish that very important task, our specific opportunity may never be a fit for that person that "just doesn't get it.

Thanks to those who took the time to read my reply and really hope that it made sense to those who took the time. I'm very hopeful that, in time, I can give back to this group as much as I have received.

The old saying sw sw sw some one is waiting .Rember this is just a numbers game .
Stop and think what you felt like when you first found your first MLM company .
I could not sleep that night .All I thought about that night of what my sponser had told me .
Find five people then help them find five and you know the rest ,pretty soone you will have 625 then you will have 3125 then 15625 and on and on .What they did not tell you is what happens when the first five do not do anything .This is a numbers game the only way you fail is if you stop talking to people .Just rember you are only one person away from having all your dreams come true.

It's all in the process of interviewing. Just because people will join your business, does not mean they are the ones you need in your business. When you speak with people about your business, you should consider it an intervew. You have to interview the people you want to join you in business. There has been times when I had someone who wanted to join, but I knew was not good and it wouldn't work just by how the conversation flowed. I chose not to close the deal. On the other hand, I had those that had great leadership skills, I closed the deal, and they didn't do anything! I tried contacting them to mentor them, no response, I moved on. Don't spend time on a deadbeat downline. :P

be normal..show up normal. then when they ask you how things are going in your thing..be vague then when they ask more. dedicate the convo to helping them understand. if they still dont understand. go back to being normal. move on its just not for them.
I'm a Talent Scout for a Brand New Company company that is expanding . I'm always on the lookout for quality people like yourself.

hello,. i believe The problem with contacting friends and family and cold contacting people about a network marketing business is that these people are usually the wrong audience to pitch a business to.

The typical response that most people get when pitching a business to their friends and family is not favorable, and cold contacting people is just plain cheesy. At the end of the day, these people just don't get it.

Most network marketers today are being taught to talk to unqualified prospects. This is the reason why 98% of people end up failing in network marketing. They are talking to the wrong audience!

Your target audience should be existing network marketers, or people that are looking to become involved in a home based business/ network marketing business. The reason why they should be your target audience is because they don’t have to be sold on the concept of becoming an entrepreneur.

So where do you find this target audience of existing network marketers and people looking to become involved in the industry?

You’ll find this target audience on the Internet, if done properly.

I’m not talking about pitching your business on Twitter, Facebook, Myspace or spamming everyone on the internet.

I’m talking about finding the millions of people that are searching the internet everyday for exactly what you are selling and giving it to them.

That’s right. They are looking for what you’ve got.

Here’s the key that you don’t want to miss.

There are a ton of people searching the internet every day looking to become a network marketer. You just need to get to these prospects before your competitors do.

I encourage you to go to Google right now, do a search for “Network Marketer” and see what results come back. Look at all the ads, articles, and videos of your competitors competing for your prospects.

There’s a big target audience on the Internet.

So what are you going to do? Are you going to build a business using old marketing techniques, or are you going to learn how to use the internet to explode your business?

To become a successful network marketer, you need to find out the exact marketing techniques that the top internet marketers are using to target your prospects. Then you need to copy these techniques so that you could sponsor these prospects into your business instead of theirs.
