I am very committed to creating a presence for myself and I respect others by not immediately jumping into a pitch. I really really really believe that if we help each other we will all succeed. So many sites just have networkers pitching to each other or just "looking at" each others sites.
So how do you stand out in the crowd especially when there are hundreds of networkers with so much more experience that me?

Re: How Do You Stand Out in the Crowd?
Hi Colleen,
I can understand where you are coming from. I've been doing this for a few years and I just find that building relationships is the key. I go to several networking groups and there are people who have heard my 30 - 60 sec. speech over and over. Though every time I say it, there is always a twist. Some of those people have even became members of mine many years after I first met them. Timing also plays a big role.
Lately I have added an bit of branding to my websites. Most of the MLM company websites have just your name and maybe some basic info on yourself, but lacks personality. So I use a program that lets me put a video of me in front of the landing page. This is one way to stand out in the crowd.
To your success,
See you at the top.

Re: How Do You Stand Out in the Crowd?
Hi Coleen, I agree with Bonnie that building relationships is super important. Let your personality shine. You have a special uniqueness about you that no one else has. If you can't identify what it is, ask your friends and family for a list. You may be surprised how amazing you really are! Be yourself and be sincere. Don't try to be someone you aren't or give a response you think is expected. Keep it real. That alone will most likely eliminate a lot of your competition. Give people some useful information that only you can share in your own way. Make it all about them and their needs.
A good example of how people don't stand out in a crowd is all the folks on Twitter who spam you in DM's usually without a simple hello. In my opinion those people are forgettable and thankfully easy to delete.
Hope you find a few tidbits here. To your success!

Hey Colleen...
I like what both Bonnie and Linda said...
But to answer YOUR question directly...
The way I stand OUT in the crowd is to simply be MYSELF...
And I wanna add one more thing...
I always keep in mind and understand...
I AM not here for EVERYONE...
And I AM only looking for those who are looking for ME!
See YOU around...

Re: How Do You Stand Out in the Crowd?
Hey Colleen,
I definitely agree with everybody else you have to build relationships and you do that by simply helping others. To stand out just be yourself and be real, people will respect you more if you do so. If you build your own site just imagine it as your home. In your home you created a space that represents you and people visiting your house will respect it if not who cares. It doesn't matter if you only have a little bit a knowledge bc the knowledge that you do have will help somebody and along the way you will gain more knowledge. But I would start with building relationships one person at a time. First going to social networking sites and communicating with others asking questions and helping people. This business is all about word of mouth and relationships if you treat one person with all your care they will tell somebody else and before you know it you will have a following and stand out in your own special way.

Re: How Do You Stand Out in the Crowd?
Think about what makes you, YOU.
What are your hobbies, unknown skills and most importantly, what are you passionate about?
There can only be one You. Let others get to know the real you and you will stand out in any crowd!

Re: How Do You Stand Out in the Crowd?
Hi Coleen...
I stand out in the crowd by doing something almost nobody does these days... I send personal notes through my Send Out Cards system. I'm pretty good with Photoshop so I create truly unique cards that get people's attention... and that they actually keep and show their friends.
I know most of the people on this forum are into online methods but let me tell you... sending personal notes, letters and cards is a lost art in today's world.
I also attend networking groups. I don't have a 30 second commercial and I don't carry business cards. Let's be honest... the vast majority of people attending these groups are there for one reason... to pitch themselves to as many people as possible. They don't care about your pitch and they don't care about our business card... they aren't there for you. I ask for their card... when they ask for mine I tell them I don't have any with me but I'll send them one through the mail. They then get one of my unique greeting cards.
If you want to achieve massive success through networking groups do this... become a connector. My mission with these groups is to find out what they do, what a good prospect for them would look like and what problem that prospect might have that their product or service would solve.
I take lots of notes and I'm always on the look out for people who can use their products or services. When I find them, I connect them. The local business community loves me. I'm the guy who's name is always mentioned when someone says "hey, where can I get such and such." The answer... "call Terry."
I get tons of business because I made it my mission to bring them some first.

Re: How Do You Stand Out in the Crowd?
The best way to stand out from the crowd is by not being in the crowd. Do something different. Advertise where others don't, leave cards where others don't, try and be original, regards Jim T.

Do what the majority are not willing to do, and you will stand far above the average Networker.

Re: How Do You Stand Out in the Crowd?
Brand yourself and offer a value on the front end. You can easily stand out from the crowd by offering a solution to network marketers, instead of another problem.
