How long did it take to call your warm market?

Postby Marlena Burton on Mon Jun 25, 2012 5:45 pm

Hi Everyone,

Just curious as to how long it took you to call your warm market once you started in networking?

Is most of your team family, friends or cold market?

Most of my team is warm market, and it took me finding the right company before I actually called my warm market.

Thanks in advance,
Marlena

I usually would share my ventures with my circle of influence within a few days of my joining the company.

In some companies I was promoting, my family was not interested. However when I shared my Watkins samples with them, they and my co-workers and friends came hunting me down to purchase some of the Watkins products.

Most people, including myself, thought Watkins was no longer in business.

I had many people tell me, they remember their parents and grandparents using Watkins products, especially their vanilla extract.

Although I do not heavily promote Watkins, I still occasionally get people asking me if I still "SALE" Watkins?

I try to to get them to become a distributor, so they can get the products wholesale, but noooo. They want me to deliver the products to them.

I usually called my warm market on everything that I had gotten into. If I found a good deal I would share it with my family and friends first. I would let them in on what I was doing and build on that. Your friends and family will tell you how they like or not like. I was always introducing my warm market to many of my interesting projects.
Years later I found something that I really like and I can see the benefits of this product. I told my warm market. By now they are not interested and not in the market. One family member tried it and liked it. Her health improved. She is still on it today.
All you can do is to introduce what you are doing to your warm market and let them see the benefits in you. Let them decide to try your products for themselves.

Very well said Mario. I know all we can do is give them the "opportunity" to say yes or no and not attempt to decide for them.

I do many 3-ways for people and I simply tell them, the person thought enough of them to at least share it with them and we didn't want anyone to be upset in the future if it was for them, but we passed them by and at least didn't make the call.

One of our 7 figure earners did a training in his penthouse and showed us the power of picking up the phone and calling our warm market. Speaking of warm market...they can sometimes lead us to a serious income earner. Thanks for sharing your wisdom, I appreciate you.

Happy Networking,

Willie,

Sounds like you did a great job sharing Watkins, they helped the industry in many ways. I remember my parents using Watkins products years ago.

It is always great when you can be the hunted and not the hunter, makes a lot of difference. Thanks for your reply.

Networking is so much fun, and when people hunt you down as we find in our business, it adds so much more joy to what we do. It's great to be associated with a "name/brand" that people come looking for and once you get to a billion dollars, it's on, so it's truly great to be in the right place at the right time and being the right person. I'm always telling others on 3-ways, when a company gets to a billion dollars, that's when everyone wants to join, so get there before the crowd.

Sounds like you were having fun and making a difference.

Much success to you.
