How much should you care?

Postby Joyce Penner on Wed Jun 27, 2012 8:51 pm

There are millions of people looking for a home based business.

How much should you care if someone has an unsuccessful mindset? By care I mean, how much time should you invest in that person?

Lots?

A bit?

None?

You should be a mentor to that person. Let them know that this would be their business and it would be up to them to devote that time into building their business. Your job at this point is to keep that person focused and for them to learn the business. Don't get into a mindset to run their business but let them handle all aspects of running their own business from the ground up.

Hi Joyce,
Well it depends if they are a team mate or if they are a prospect, I say move on. Do not take the time because you are looking for people that see the value in what you have. That see the value and possibilities in themselves.

If they are team mate, I would only spend a bit of time with them. Again, you will not have time for the negative energy that will bring, they are unwilling to make the changes necessary to succeed. If they are oh I am trying, but there is no effort. Then offer them your help when they are willing to change and move on. You do not have time for those that want you to do all the work for them.

You worked hard to get where you are at. You worked hard to get what you have achieved. Your team mates have to want to do that too. And that is not something you can put in them, only something you can encourage.

I hope that makes sense. =D

In my opinion,

I say you invest time by simply keeping them in the loop. It doesn't take much. Are we not about building relationships?

One of the interviews I just did was by a Lady who joined her business but did nothing for two years. She had an unsuccessful mindset. Her Sponsor kept her in the loop by adding her to the email list and calling her briefly about once a month or every two months. Some of these calls were never about business but simply how she was doing.

Fast forward, one day she began to believe in herself and she began to work the business. She now has a downline of a couple hundred. Her sponsor never gave up which was the leading factor that gave her that extra push.

Then there are those who will never join your business but that is okay. Perhaps you living your dream will inspire them to see another possibility.

Appreciation from the Heart,

Richard De Haven

Many of us have started out in sometime or another with a negative mindset. We have to work hard even today to make sure our mindset are positive each day.

There are those who will never get out of their mindset that will not prepare them for success. There are those who may take years but then blossom and help you make millions.

So a good question to ask before asking how much time we should spend is. How could we tell the difference between a person that will never have a successful mindset vs a person that will eventually blossom to success?

.

What I've learned is that you can expose someone to an alternative philosophy.
You can expose someone to an alternative frame of reality.
But you cannot force them to accept or implement either.

As hard as it is for me to accept that, I've had to come to grips with the fact that some will,
some won't, and I cannot allow myself to get emotionally attached to helping every single person.
It's impossible.

Care, but don't put yourself in a position where you becomes the drowning victim trying to save them.

I hear you Richard.

Jared. There are millions of people looking for a business or alternative source of income. If you get red flags indicated a negative mindset, would you spend your valuable time working with them based on maybe someday??

Richard De Haven: I agree with that whole philosophy if that person is in your MLM already.

Mario. I 100% agree with you IF that person is in your MLM.

If though, you are talking to a prospect, you could cut and dry here's my website, check it out OR you could take the time to go through the learning about their dreams and ambitions, play it back to them as the objections come up etc.

One takes a minute the other 10 or more.

When you remember "some will, some won't, next", why would you not fire through as many as you can to find the ones who really do show promise.

I agree with Richard on this one. I learned this lesson a long time ago and it is very similar to what Richard said. "Some will; some won't; NEXT!"

Most of the people that are looking for a "work at home business" are LAZY! You can show them what you have to offer. Invite them to visit your website or set up a face-to-face meeting. Most of them won't do it. They will keep finding and making excuses.

Before people join a company, they want to know 3 things: Is it legal? Can I make money doing it? And can I duplicate your efforts? In other words-Is it simple or easy? If the answer to any of those questions is no, they are probably not going to do anything.

For me ,I think we should work hard to make sure our mindset are positive each day.that's the most important thing for us to do or we will be depressed by ever thing happened around us .

No Joyce I would not however, it is good to keep people close somehow because would it hurt to find out that if we give up on them and later we see them become successful with someone else because the other person at least didn't give up. This is why systems are great because it will allow us to be there for people and not give up yet not waste time on what we need to do. Because your right Joyce they may never turn around and we would not want to waste our time on people that will never change their mindset.
