Email daily.
The size of your list is irrelevant.
The number of new subscribers daily doesn't matter.
You treat a list of 10 just like you'd treat a list of 10,000.

It's not all about marketing and promotions,
they want to know about you and your life, too.

Don't worry about opt-outs.
If they like your stuff, they'll stay, and you'll get better over time.
The more you mail, the better you'll get.

DO NOT RELY ON AUTOMATIC MESSAGES FOR YOUR MARKETING.
No matter how well written, a canned message is still not personal.

If you believe in building a relationship with your list, you have to let them
know who you are and what's going on in your life, as well as how your experiences
relate to your business. Your autoresponder messages can't do that.

So mail every day, and then mail when something out of the ordinary happens, too.
Like a special promotion or something.

If you can't write an email to your friends every day, then you definitely need the
practice.

One more thing.
Whatever you do, be consistent.

This is a really important question and I think that there is going to be no one right answer. Every person will resinate with a different frequency and every list is so different that you would need to test that particular list regularly.

For myself, I auto send emails when someone opts in every day for the first week. Then it slowly drops down to about once every four days. I also email may list a couple of times each week. I do my best to be usually adding value and content and not selling as much. I have found that this has given me a better result.

Several times a week, thats not an exact number, more like an intuition or feeling. When the time feels right is my answer!
