Re: iJango
When I watched the video I thought it was the dumbest idea ever. Take all the FREE services that google provides (and many others) and try and get people pay for a service just to make money? As a Software Developer......no thanks. I'll stick with my free services and not waste my time learning about new tools. Business wise I can only see the ones that want to make money will get into this MLM company. I think the general end user/customer will not be intereste purely for the fact that they don't want another expense on their hands.
QUESTION, could this qualify as a pyramid scam? Taken from wikipedia "business model that involves the exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, often without any product or service being delivered" Now at first it doesn't seem like a scam but is it......? The product your getting is essentially worth nothing, in the sense that it's a product that is already available for free. Now, do they even get a copy of this software? By the sounds of it it's just a portal which means they will have access the companies software/property. In the end, as long as they are a user they won't own anything. It's like taking an existing free object, changing it a little bit and stamping a price tag on it. Or how about taking air, putting it into a can and label it as "Really Clean Air" or someting and getting people to buy it in order to make money. Is that not a scam?
Thoughts......?

Hey David that sort of sounds like ..... Bottled water yea thats it. We'll take tap water run it thru a filter and give it an arcticy sounding name. We can then charge people more for the fancy label and name.

That's not what I got out of the video. The portal is free...just like MSN's or Yahoo's home page. The only people who are paying are the ones who will be want a percentage of the commissions generated for shopping and advertising (like adwords) done on the portal. I can see how you might think it could qualify as a pyramid scam since the product is free but it looks like reps not only make money when others sign up but also through the commissions generated by the traffic going to all the portals on the people in your organization. I'm just a bit skeptical about exactly how much commissions can be generated and shared with reps from traffic to the portal.

It's just a money game. If you want to chase a short-term fad of a money game, go for it. If you want to build a REAL business that lasts for years, stay away. It's that simple.

Hi Mike and everyone,
Mike, I have the greatest respect for your opinions; however, I have a different take on iJango. I see it as a way to take daily activities that everyone does online anyway, and get paid for them. It will NOT cost the users of the portal any money. The personal and customizable web portal will be free on August 1.
iJango has partnered with hundreds (soon to be thousands) of vendors online to bring them traffic through the use of the portal, which will be a big benefit to those who use it to organize and simply their access to the internet. Young people will like it and older people like me will like it too.
I appreciate the opportunity to share here.
Guess we'll see how it goes.
Many blessings.

Personally, I'd stay away...mostly because the comp plan is so complex, with so many hoops to jump through that most people will make pennies.

Hi Deborah,
What you say is interesting. Perhaps you have a better understanding of the pay plan than I do?
It is the same plan used in my primary company (Send Out Cards) and it has been a very luractive plan for me, especially with the coded bonuses generating weekly income which really helps people don't want to wait a month for their checks.
Are you with another company that uses the same plan and is that why you think it is to complicated?

Re: iJango
I understand that Roger. I usually follow my own internal guidance when making decisions about a new company, and I always ask my self what I have to lose, and of course what I have to gain.
With iJango, I see a lot to gain, so I'm having fun building it, especially during July when I have already made the first promotion with half the effort of the actual compensation plan.
Have you seen the new promo movie? I have it posted at my blog here:
http://millerventures.com/ijango.php
Who is your sponsor, wondering if I know them. I'm fortunate my sponsor was at the first TX meeting at the end of June, so he got a good feel for the owners.
Wishing you massive success!
