Re: Long or short forum posts
Hi Chris,
I admit that I'm much like you in that a short post has a better chance of my reading it start to finish than a long post.
But, that is probably true of most people. The exception would be in the level of interest I have in the topic, and the writing style of the author.
Myself, I prefer a "to-the-point" article written in a concise manner.
Although, I also have to admit that I have been guilty of rambling on a bit.

Hey Chris, please don't use the forum to post multiple pieces of "content" like you've been doing. It's an area for questions and discussions only. Your info is great, but it needs to go into the articles section.

Re: Long or short forum posts
Hey there Chris,
I agree with Mike completely. I think a forum should be used to simply gain insight from others, to get your questions answered, and to build relationships with people.
Personally, I think nowadays I don't think people like to read long articles anymore just because of what modern society has done to our attention span. There is just a constant bombardment of HEY LOOK AT THIS or HEY CHECK THIS OUT! It's getting ridiculous if you ask me.

I think long posts belong in your blog, then you can make posts that are intelligent and informative enough to attract people there. After all, the main point of this community is Attraction Marketing, isn't it?

Re: Long or short forum posts
I have seen some very long forum post, I read some of them sometimes if they are interesting, but short and spicey is where we should keep them. Post the long ones as articles or blog post.

Hi Tristan, I think it depends on what you want to say in the forum post. If the topic is really interesting and important, in most cases people don't mind reading long posts.
But in the end, I think it boils down to saying what needs to be said in as few words as possible. But you don't have to "lengthen" or "shorten" posts on purpose. It depends on what you're saying and how you say it.
Did I just write a long post? lol.
