Has anyone used Facebook marketing to do subtle
marketing for their business? If so, in what way
and how is it working for you?

Facebook is all about making connections, showing others that you are valuable, and building your image. You don't want to actively market your business because that's what everybody seems to be doing. What you want to do is to stand out by giving as much of yourself as you can, then people will naturally come to you. It all goes back to learning how to brand yourself successfully. It can be a great source of leads if used properly but I have found that even more than that, it is simply a great place to meet other like-minded individuals. You never know, you might meet your next business partner who could help you explode your business.

I created a group with the name of an MLM company and I added friends from that particular company. The group has grown to over 1000 members and now I am able to communicate to all members adding value and creating a fan base.

Hey Loriann,

I think Facebook is a great marketing tool, but like all social networking sites you don't just want to throw your business in people's faces. Use attraction marketing to attract people to you. I use Facebook, and i created a group in which network marketers can get information and attend free weekly webinars every week to help learn more about internet marketing. The training is great and the group is growing daily!

of the many avenues I market, facebook is my #1 choice personally.

The conversions for facebook are very high and i just enjoy speaking with people who are business minded and can think outside the box.

I find many people on facebook who have little to zero marketing experience so mentoring people there comes easy.

Learn to marketing correctly and you should be getting many leads on facebook with little effort.

Sure no problem. Branding is the act of building recognition for a name, company, product etc. In internet marketing you are wanting to brand yourself as a leader or a mentor. By positioning yourself in this light, people become familiar with you and what you are offering thereby making them want to do business with you. A great example of this is Mike DIllard himself. Just think, when most people hear his name they tend to think Attraction Marketing and they know him as a leader in the industry. If this is not what comes to mind for you than definitely Google him and learn everything about what he teaches, because his method will help you better understand branding and how to use it in your business. But ultimately just know that it is showing others that you are valuable and that they should follow you in order to learn more themselves.

Facebook is one of the premier social networking sites. As a social networking site one must remember the intent of the site and the primary intent is socializing and not business building. Having said that I a can say that I have been able to build a good size team in my network marketing business using Facebook and other social networking sites.
My company, being the only network marketing company in the field of adult entertainment, inherently poses its own unique challenges but if you hold true to the principles of attraction marketing it can be done.
When people send a friend request to me on Facebook, I always send them a personal message back to thank them. In this message I will also warn them of the nature of my business and tell them that if that offends them to be sure not to go to my website.
Those who would be offended appreciate the heads up. Those who are actually looking for this type of business then know where to go for additional information.
I also participate in the socialization aspects of each site being cautious not to mention my business unless I am asked for information.
I do see a lot of heavy handed marketing on these sites and it jut demonstrates the lack of professionalism that is still exists in our industry. Being a network marketer on the social sites can be rewarding but we must always remember to be polite in other peoples homes.
