Dick, you say you have chosen your company, but have you actually signed up as a distributor?

If you have not signed up, you really cannot do much until you do!

If you have, the person who signed you up (your sponsor) will be ready, willing & available to show you how to get started quickly.

If you haven't yet signed up, I suggest you find someone who will be ready, willing & available to show you how to start off on the right foot, so to speak.

Good luck!

Hi Dick,

I agree with Michael. The first thing you need to do, assuming you have already signed up in your company is to contact your immediate Sponsor and ask him/her what your first steps should be. If you can't make contact with your Sponsor, then start going upline until you find someone who is willing to give you meaningful directions.

I certainly hope that your Sponsor or upline know what they're doing. In other words, I hope they are not in the same position that you're in being a Newbie, which is great, but I think you know what I mean. If that is the case, and you can't find anyone upline to help you, then your next step is to find a good "System" to promote your product or service. There are several excellent "Systems" available, from which you can decide which will be best for you. If you need any help with that, let me know, and I won't charge you a penny. ok?

To your success, :D

Hi Dick,

Welcome to the world of network marketing!

I agree with Michael and John . . . and will add a couple of the items I share with everyone I sponsor:

1-Don't start talking to people about your new business venture until your sponsor or other upline leader has started you in the training program. It's better to get the initial training and plan your grand opening event . . . with sponsor/leader assistance . . . before you start recruiting. Trying to share info about your company/products before you have a good overall picture of what's going on may cause you to burn your best prospects.

2-Don't try to launch too many marketing strategies at once. It's far more productive to start with one and master it to the point that it's generating income before adding another strategy.

As John suggested, if you can't find anyone in your new company to help you, consider outside resources. He suggested a good one . . . and here's another one for you to investigate. . . http://www.mlmsuccessquadrant.com

Hope this helps.

Have a great evening,
Susan

As everyone has stated so far...

1. Contact your Sponsor for direction.
2. Plug into the companies training program ASAP.

They will provide you with steps that will most likely go like this...

1. Determine your Dreams and why you are doing this.
2. Set some goals.
3. Make a commitment to yourself
4. Build a prospect list.
5. Contact and invite people on your list to check out your new business.
6. Show them how the business works (website, cd, brochures)
7. Follow-up with your contacts.
8. Enroll & teach the fortunate ones

Prepare yourself for the ride of your life :P

Hi Dick,

You have gotten great advice here. If you have signed up then the very first thing your sponsor should have done is give you a list of what the first things you should do. If they didn't, take that as a bad sign but get over it and got to their sponsor and get what you need. If you are a serious builder you can rest assured that your upline will step forward and help you.

These may include:

Set up your work area with relevant tools, computer, phone, etc

Set up you phone: Three-way calling. Voice mail. Hands-free wired headset.

Get set up to take credit/debit cards

Set up any replicated websites, email addresses, etc.

Get your warm market list together

Get scheduled for whatever live meetings/conference calls/webinars are going on for your group.

I'd also suggest picking up a copy of Magnetic Sponsoring and getting your head around making yourself the brand and understanding how important it is understand the concept of attraction marketing.

Finally, stay focused. There is a lot to distract you and it is very tempting to jump from thing to thing, whether it be companies or advertising methods, when a steady effort in any one place will yield the very best results.

Good Luck!

All of them great answers!

Make sure your sponsor is plug into a "business builder system" Many people when join health related products fall in the trap of trying to become "Nutritional experts" , make sure you plug into a system that is already successful, if your sponsor is not part of such system, with his/her permission, find somebody upline who has such system, and plug into it..

Hey Dick
Every piece of advice here has been sound advice which I wish I had when I first got started in this online business. Unfortunately my sponsor at the time just left me to it after taking my initial investment to get started it was sink or swim time and boy did I start sinking lol!

I cannot stress enough that in order to become successful you need to stay focused. In this internet industry you will be bogged down with this advice or that advice or this program or that program and end up with the paralysis by analysis scenario and find yourself suffering with overwhelmed syndrome!! Each month you will be paying for your product line or to just stay active in the system and your bank account will be bleeding you dry. That is unless you find a way to not only recruit into your team but more importantly be able to give your new team a system they can duplicate. This is the key to success. It does not matter how good you or your product is or how good you are become at recruiting, if you cannot make your team or teach your team to duplicate your efforts. It is all in the duplication.

So find yourself a system which you can work away at in your own time frame, step by step empowering you to take further action in this world we find ourselves in. Only then will you really make things start to rock!! Oh and guess what? You can then just pass it on to every new recruit you sign up.......

To your success Dick

Adrian
