Question on leadership training

Postby John Engel on Tue Apr 06, 2010 4:23 pm

Hi all,

I need your input. I'm looking at building a new site (or possibly re-tooling my current site) and focus on the topic of leadership training- how to become a leader and how to make others into leaders. But I'd like to get people's feedback to see if this is a topic people are interested in. What questions do you have regarding leadership? Is there an area of leadership you're lacking in or don't see discussed much?

Questions I'm looking at answering include How do you spot a potential leader? How do you attract them online? How do you become a leader yourself, even if you're new to the industry? How do you hone the skills of someone to make them into a leader?

But I want to make sure these are topics that excite people, and find out what other leadership topics people would like to see addressed. Any feedback/input you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks guys!

Welcome to BN John!

There are methods to find out what people might be wanting to know and read and spend money on. That's the science of keyword research. Search this term on my blog http://DoOnlineBusiness.info and you will find at least a few hard hitting articles to direct you.

Next comes SEO, or search engine optimization, which is like putting traps in the internet jungle to get people interested in your subject to your site. From there the money rolls.

Leadership is a big and vast subject and there will be takers for everything in it. Looking at google search results terms in this segment are competitive so you might want a detective tool like market samurai or GCD to select the optimal target keywords.

Keep writing and message me for direct help ;)

I'm specifically looking at focusing on transformational leadership and creating leaders on your team. I am using the methods you mentioned but also thought I would come directly to the source here and get people's direct feedback.

If anyone has specific questions that they constantly get from their downline or even questions you have yourself, please let me know. The more info and feedback I can get the better I can make my site. Thanks!

Since you are focusing mainly on transformational leadership... I would definitely have to say focus on building people up. After you have build some people up and you see that starting to duplicate I believe you will not only see a transformation in your business, but also in the quality of life. And as long as that is easy for others to duplicate your leaders will start showing up.

Hope this helps.

Without the benefit of those scientific methods, and simply expressing a personal opinion, leadership training is a field that could actually work.

There are many companies out there who could benefit from your input as well as those employees and business people seeking to become better leaders in their fields.

Be creative in your approach, use as many current and past interesting illustrations as you can and target managers as your initial starting point. Linkedin could be your first point of contact with these professionals. However, leaders are really everywhere and most would like to improve their skill in one way or the other.

Many people are there to give MLM training and to teach the tactics and strategies to explain people who are new to the MLM business. Once they get into the business they may get their leadership to lead the particular business.

I would agree with Dean...become the leader in your company of choice, establish the track record and absorb info on this site to develop your training program for the future

I would say that these are questions that network marketers are or should be interested in getting answered. Great topic, John. I don't think this is discussed enough. I would also like to see more discussion on how a network marketing leader should go about deciding who to spend the most time with.
