Something I think needs to be pointed out (IF it hasn't already, this is getting a TON of responses, and you may even know this already...), is that MS ISN'T going to be the "end-all-be-all", One-shot-magic bullet for your business.
The truth of the matter is, is that your education in this industry is going to be never ending...Even Mike Dillard himself spends up to $50,000.00 per seminar, and maybe more, but know this, MS is a really great resource to get you on your way. So, I'm going to tell you like it was told to me... READ IT!! (10 times at least) After you read it 10x's, you "OWN" the info. then tell it like it is...how you see it!
...By the way, while your implementing the strategies; keep a journal of your activity, and results (simple daily journal, pad of paper, 3-ring binder...) This will come in VERY handy in the future when you go through every 90 days and review what you did, and what worked, and what didn't. Videos using this personal intel. is a great way to give "case study" videos, or any kind of "discovery vids" and post them onto your blog or whatever medium you use.

Hi Julia,

Nothing is easy. Not even magnetic sponsoring. The key element or ingredient in all of this is "you". You can make anything work. But in network marketing, as you are discovering, it can be difficult because of peoples misconceptions of how and what it is.

Magnetic Sponsor will not hurt, and will more than likely give you a tremendous edge. I have recently started with magnetic sponsoring and from the success stories I've seen, it will build your business.

Julia, You are a very wise young lady. You will succeed IF you have the proper training and desire and are in the right company. There are several things you need to know before you start. As I write this reply, I have yet to succeed in this industry.

Julia, I'm still a joke to most everyone I know. Before I
discovered online marketing and attraction techniques, I
also made a fool out of myself.

I already grew up believing that I couldn't be anything.
My desires and dreams of achieving what I truly wanted
were always shot down in some way from family and
friends.

My goals were out of sync with the "real world".

Being rejected by everyone I attempted to sponsor made
me feel even worse. You see, I saw MLM as my way to
creating the path to my freedom.

Even today people still scoff because I haven't made it yet.

When I say I haven't made it yet, that doesn't mean that
I've not accomplished goals.

Each goal that I've determined to accomplish, counts as a
success. So I have actually been successful.

It seems your goal right now is learning more about how to
get customers... and long term customers.

It sounds like you are interested in a different marketing
strategy. Rather than try and convince square minded
"real world" people to join your MLM, it seems you would
prefer prospects that are hungry for what you have to offer.

I know how you feel.

The thing is patience as you brand yourself and learn how
to give others value. You may not even make any money
during the learning process. You may not make any money
as you set up your own marketing systems.

That's where I'm at. For most that pester me about getting
a real grip on life and leave my ideas behind, I don't argue.

But if the occasion arises that I must talk about it, I just
give them an analogy: If I'm in the middle of building a
restaurant, should I start serving food? The obvious thing
to do is wait until I've completed the building.

There's always a growing/learning process that everybody
must go through. The naysayers love to try and rip people
apart during this time.

Let them get back to their cubicles and make little virtual
farms.

Congrats for seeking advice early in your career. You can't go wrong with any of Mike Dillard's work. In addition to MS, I would also highly recommend Building on a Budget. It will teach you cheap ways to market your business and every money saving opportunity you can find is very valuable.

I do want to highly caution you that while it is great you are ambitious and have fabulous goals, be careful not to put so much pressure on yourself to be a selfmade millionaire in just a couple of years that you burn yourself out. Remember, this is a building business and in most cases it take lots of time. There are a few that become self made millionaires in just a couple of years, but that is a precious few so while goal setting is very important, realistic goal setting is the key. Unrealistic goals just set you up for failure. Best wishes

I definitely recommend getting a copy of Magnetic Sponsoring. It is so important to invest in yourself. It is your most important asset and I applaud you for recognizing a great opportunity to invest in yourself. Mike teaches you the skills that are useful regardless of the deal you are in.

You have gotten a lot of great feedback here. One of the biggest things I would say is don't do this to help prove everybody wrong. Sure many of us are planning to show everyone else they are wrong but that won't drive you to your dreams. You have to find your passion within this industry or any industry for that matters and drive towards your dreams.

You will hear everyone talking about your 'WHY'. It has to be much bigger than proving someone else wrong that does not even matter because they have a closed mind. With 15 million people unemployed, all those jobs will not be recreated in a couple months. In the meantime, work on your skills and the haters will be jumping on the bandwagon like you cannot believe. Remember this, if you are not creating haters, you are doing the same thing that everyone else is doing and you will never find the financial freedom that you deserve.

Another story worth remembering there is a famous networking guru who did not sponsor one person for 10 years! He knew the business inside out but could not close. Then something clicked with him, belief. The number one ingredient to success is belief in yourself. Set up a visualisation board with pictures of the exact things you want and look at them every day. In your spare time visualise them in your minds eye.

Mike's book will give you the knowledge only you can give yourself the belief. When people seem to be an obstacle take a step back. Do some internet research on successful young women entrepreneurs and read how they overcame obstacles. Then begin to 'pattern' their behavior. An obstacle is only an obstacle if you believe it is. If you view it as a puzzle to be solved the answer will come and the obstacle will dissolve.

Business, all business is a numbers game. When you aren't making any money you aren't working your business. Read all you can about business sales and marketing. Some methods are good others are better. Just don't take too much time determining what to do. The longer you wait the longer before you make anything. Someone was talking about Magnetic Sponsering. It's a very good read and a great way to pick up reps by helping others succeed.
