How much time do you waste in a day? There is a secret fromula for using your time wisely. You probably already know what it is, but you may not be implementing it as well as you could. This valuable formula is called GOAL SETTING!
Some tips when setting goals:
Set goals that are obtainable, but that will make you stretch.
Attach numbers or time limits to your goal; this makes it possible for you to measure your progress. Regularly track how well you are doing with your goals. Hold yourself accountable for your progress.
Remember ALL of your actions should support your goals.
One of the most important things to do when setting a goal is to make sure that the goal has a deeper meaning behind it. For example: Let's say that I set a goal of earning $20,000 in six months. That is a great goal, but it is not enough. We must answer the question of why am I setting this goal, and the answer to that "why" question should be something that extends to your heart. Such as: I will make $20,000 dollars over the next six months in order to keep food on the table for my wife and children. A "why" as powerful as this will be a perfect motivator when you must go the extra mile to reach your goal.
What other advice can you give when setting goals?

Re: The #1 Formula For Using Time Wisely
Hi Eli, considering the fact that I have been self-employed for a few years, I can add a couple of suggestions.
1. Set aside a regular time each day to work on your business. Don't let ANYTHING interfere. It is very easy to get side tracked and distracted when your time is your own. Remember this is your business, not your hobby. Treat it as such.
2. Having a quota and a deadline to meet every day. Whether that is calling 10 new people a day to introduce them to your business or writing an article or blog post to drive traffic to your website, or making a video, do it.
3. Remember it is in the DOING of small and simple tasks on a consistent basis that will lead to life-changing results.
4. Before you get started, make sure that you are passionate about what you are choosing to do, otherwise you won't have fun on your journey to getting to that $20,000.

Great stuff here my friends!
Something that I have started to really apply into my life is that whenever I feel the urge to put it off until later I just tell myself, "No, I need to procrastinate procrastination." It is so easy to put the important stuff off to do later however, the more you continue to do this eventually it will become a habit and 5-10 years from now, you'll have nothing to show for your efforts. This is something that my mentor Jim Rohn calls, "frequent errors in judgement."
Powerful stuff here my friends thanks for sharing!

Eli
What you said about the "WHY" question is probably the most important thing for me.
If there is no why, it is really hard to get emotionally involved. If we do not get emotionally involved, we will not stick it out when the goal makes us stretch. By makking sure that your goal has a very strong "WHY" attached to it will keep us there and when we have challenges, we will stick it out.
That has been my experience anyways.

I could also add that it is important to have a default diary system in place and make sure that you spend as much time as possible n revenue generating work and also implement systems in your business to handle any routine work. Learn leverage as well.

Great contributions, everyone ...
Here's a great 3 step system that I use to consistently get things done: (thanks Derek Franklin)
1. Create your list of actions
2. Assign a specific time to accomplish each task
3. Select an action, start a timer, and focus on nothing else but doing that action.
Repeat #3 throughout your day ...
Hope this helps you all as well.
Best,
Scott

Re: The #1 Formula For Using Time Wisely
May I please add: keep your goals realistic and start small.
Realistic: I love the NY Giants but I know there is no way I'll ever be an active roster member. So for me to set a goal to be a NY Giant receiver is ridiculous and will lead to nothing but disappointment.
Start small: I'll have 2 new distributors by the end of the month. Very attainable and when that goal is reached it puts feul in your tank. You prove to yourself that goal setting works and empowers you to reach bigger and higher.
As the great Zig Ziglar says; go as far as you can see and when you get there...you can always see farther.
Best, Dan....

Re: The #1 Formula For Using Time Wisely
Hello,
It is so easy to get distracted on the net!
I have a routine I follow every morning, ie emails, adverts etc & only once it is completed do I divert.
Seems to get things completed faster
Hope this is of an assistance, have a nice day, Suzi
