Mike I agree,
It seems that when you've built a list, they need to be folks who are "really into" the special niche that you have the info on.
The secret to success is to "find a need- and fill it".
So, a person needs to know what they love and what they're good at, and it will show. Some things you can't force.
When your list is as equally excited about the narrow deep target niche that you provide info on...you'll love life, and they'll be happy too!
It doesn't matter if that niche is .."making perfect pickles". If there's a need-"fill it"!

Re:The Future of Network Marketing
I'll let you know right now I'm going to reply step by step to what I read, so this might become a little elongated, but bare with me. B)
1: Raise The Quality And Uniqueness Of Your Information.
I've been wondering this myself for sometime. You see "so many" www.whoisblabla.com all over the net. I'm even following the heard when it comes to that one. But it begs to question which one of the www.whoisblabla.com really is teaching something "new" and of their own content to listen too? Or of value that isn't being re-taught? I know we are all trying to do things different - and stay ahead of the game and for that I give us all a HUGE kudos, but how long will just that alone work for us? I was feeling just a few months ago when I put up my "about" me site, "should I or shouldn't I do that now?" I still like the fact we need to separate ourselves from the company - but how can we do this effectively when everyone else is too? In my recent opinion it's just a new way we are all "bunching" ourselves back up into another "group" of commons. So, now because of this report it's confirmed my concerns and forced me to do some rethinking!
2: Increase Traffic And Exposure In Order To Gain Traction And Acceptance In The Market Place.
I "use" to think marketing or gaining exposure in "MySpace" was so unprofessional. But after using it for a bit - it has brought me more people who recognize me from Myspace that associate me in this industry. So I agree with that part and have obviously changed my mind about those types of social networks. :P
3: Become A Master Story-Teller.
The ADD world. You couldn't have ever put it better. As I'm working on becoming a better story teller (improving each day) I do still see that challenge of grabbing that persons attention that can be easily distracted with the "pings" of instant messages, or a click on someone else's nicely posted Google ad... etc. So I look forward to part two of this letter and learning more from MS so I too can master that one. For me, that so far is my biggest challenge. And one that is hard to gage statistically speaking. How will I ever know if I lost a prospects attention to Uncle Bob that just "pinged" them away from my ad? lol So not only am I competing against the WORLD WIDE INTERNET, I'm also competing against family and friends! hehe WOW - I'm laying on the floor in awe.
PS to the letter. I like the sense of urgency placed at the bottom for MLM TF. Although I've understood it's a temporary offer of the price for the course, I guess like other offers I've seen like that - they never change. It's kind of a way to create a "reason" to buy now. But in this case, I can see you meant it! lol Urgency has been created! :woohoo:
1: The Level Of Sophistication Needed To Stay Ahead Of The Competition Will Continue To Rise.
I'm changing my site and will "split test" it too. Mine "sucks" bad! lol Thanks for sharing those results and I can fully understand what's going on there. Having the privilege of working a little with Jim Yaghi, I totally can see how Important all of this is too.
2: For The First Time In History, Out-Sourcing Will Become Common Place Among Internet Savvy Network Marketers Out Of Sheer Necessity.
Here's something I may want to add to the "wish list" here in MS. I think I can speak for most of us here that we have no clue where to go in order to get strong and proven "outsource" work. Now I come from an HR back ground prior to MLM. So I could probably be able to post and find people I need "maybe" easier. But when it comes to PPC or other areas I'm still familiarizing myself with - that would be hard for me to judge is whether someone really knows how to do this or is just using the right words to convince me he/she does. Could potentially become a huge waste of money for me if I have no clue what to look for.
So I agree to familiarize myself with the subject I need help with "before" going to find that person.
But maybe in the back office we could have recommended sources to go to - to search out outsourcing? Yeah and with a disclaimer there about how you're not responsible for any outcome either - because we all know what happened to the "hair dryer" company when someone blew dry their hair in the bathtub! lol
But I 100% agree with this. We can "master" a few things and do it ourselves, but to do it all? Sheese - I'm not sure that could be done effectively.
3: “Do-It-For-You” Systems Will Increase In Popularity.
100% agreed ... but, I see a problem that needs a solution in of itself before all of this. Now I may be way wrong, but hear me out first.
My initial thought to this part and the one just above is "money" to do so. Just with any new or old opportunity, you'll need to "pay" the people you outsource. If you are still learning yourself and are in a company who doesn't have the turn key solution in a box - how is this to be done and along side still building a business to gain the ROI you are looking for in the process?
I know what company you refer to and from what I've seen, it is "hands down" the best system I've seen along side of one of the better higher tier companies out there. So to couple the two is brilliant! Just a side note and kudos to you guys.
But, for us that are still pushing our way in with the determination of a bull dog, who holds that piece of raw stake in its mouth, with 1500 pounds of jaw pressure, with no intent to release it to it's competitor - how are we to "jump" right in with little funds?
Now don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining nor posing a problem that "can't" have a solution to it. But this is what I've come up with for a solution.
Before I get to that - here are the issues I'm talking about.
For those of you or those who aren't gaining what they are looking for with monetary needs - this is what I've been looking at.
Here are a few problems for the "newbie" to the industry.
1. Money to pay the monthly company fees (more out of pocket than what they are earning).
2. Learning what they have to learn to succeed (paying for further education = more out of pocket than what they are earning).
3. Outsourcing? (more out of pocket than what they are earning).
and so on...
So what could be the solution for a "pre-leader" who is still educating themselves - still earning the minimal - to afford to do any of this? Or even a better question - you aren't in that company who has the "turn key solution in a box" so you as a "pre-leader" or "leader" have to create that one for yourself and your team.
Any thoughts?
Mine was to focus on affiliate marketing first and by myself. Now most of you who have been here long enough know I'm a fairly big cheerleader for MS. This is one of the reasons why I am.
It's THE ONLY affiliate program I know of that not only teaches us what we truly need to know, but we can also make a living from it by applying what we learn and in turn apply it to MS sales. We don't pay any monthly fees - who enrolls under us is on the same quest so what we can learn we can teach to them too if they're open to communication with us - and lastly there is really no need to outsource just yet with MS (maybe - maybe not - still pondering on that one).
So would people agree that maybe a newbie would be better off in affiliate marketing "if" you as a leader or pre-leader aren't involved with a company who doesn't have that solution in a box and you are still creating that for your future team yourself?
I KNOW THIS IS LONG - BUT STICK WITH ME HERE - I'M JUST ABOUT DONE!
4: Picking Up The Phone Will Become More Important Than Ever.
Ok, that part I know and 150% agree with!
Ok - see, now I'm done! hehe

Hey Dave, that's what's great about the new MS 3.0 System. These tests are happening live through all of the traffic system wide. Your prospects are actually seeing these pages and you're benefiting from the tests we're doing for you in real time! You'll just never see any of the variations personally because it always shows each person only 1 variation to ensure accuracy of the results.

On Observation #2 Mike jsut posted today 12-14.... I loved the small change to the catpture page he showed and how it increased his leads by 83%.... How can I change that on my link and have the change showing???

Re:The Future of Network Marketing
That was a great article Mike.
I remember the good old days, when no one knew what a squeeze page, or back linking, or what building a list was.
It is becoming more and more mainstream. This is truly why people must learn to grow themselves. Since there will be so much competition, people will need to learn how to retain their distributors, so their attrition remains low. And learn how to be a leader.
Consistency will be the key factor.
Who's gonna shut off the TV and playtime to stay consistent with your blogs, videos, forum relationship building, and working with your downline.
Blood, Sweat, and Tears, will be the deciding factor. Live, drink, and breathe MLM so you will be the cream that rises to the top.

Mike I am very appreciative of your insight and your ability to share information that is relevant to being successful in this industry as we move into 2008. I truly value all the information and updates on the new knowledge that I will need to learn with understanding to reach my goal of financial success in network marketing. The bottom line regardless of new technology is you will still need to connect with people. The question is "What tool will you use to get the job done?"

Re:The Future of Network Marketing
I have spent 6 months learning the how to market online strategy by myself because nobody was willing to share their secrets about exactly what ads and keywords to use. It has been a challenge learning computer skills because I never thought I would need to. Finally, thanks to Mike's system, I feel encouraged that I can master the tools required to become successful before I go broke. I am now proud to sponsor new members because they will not be left to make it on their own.
Mike, your hard work has given me confidence to push forward and figure this out.
Lastly, your decision to bring David Schwind on board shows your desire to create millionaires in this industry. I am registering for Traffic Formula as a Christmas present for myself. Thanks for all you do, Michelle Shaw.

Re:The Future of Network Marketing
Why use print when you can use PPC?
You can't test print.
You can't halt your campaign once you pay your money.
You can't make changes once you submit your ad to the paper.
Personally, I'd never place a print ad unless it was in the form of a full page "advertorial" or interview.

Re:The Future of Network Marketing
I just read Part 3.
Great work Mike and thanks.
You provide a very valid analysis of the state of the industry in NM.
Your argument also proceeds very logically from how and why the industry has changed, what you need to do, and how Magnetic Sponsoring can help you.
You've put all the pieces of the puzzle together.
You've also helped to provide me with great source material that I can reference and promote MS at the same time.
I was thinking about what to write regarding the benefits of the MS affiliate program and now I have quite a lot of food for thought.
Thanks again,
Mark

Re:The Future of Network Marketing
:) Hi Everyone,
Whatever Mike Dillard says is always an eye opener.
It's true that trying to master all these marketing techniques,
PPC, Blogs, Videos, Social & Business Networking, etc. is really
time consuming and really isn't worth the time put in as far
as sales or building a downline goes. It's downright exhausting.
The best trend I've seen since I've been networking since
1999, is that people are coming together more and forming
teams and joining social and business networking programs,
mainly not to be alone in cyberspace, but also as protection
from some of the scams that are out there. Most importantly
to learn from each other and to help each other.
Magnetic Sponsoring will help us to learn how to communicate
with others and to learn how to develop meaningful networking
relationships with the people in these networks.
The other trend is, I think from people reading Mike's book,
is that there are a lot of programs with a "system" that your
team can join and duplicate to build downlines in different
advertising sources e.g. safelists, traffic exchanges, marketing
tools, and having their particular business links all in one place.
A good "niche" business would be Magnetic Sponsoring and all
the related products because this is what is really needed by
everyone online who wants to be successful.
These "Magnetic Sponsoring" skills will always be with us and
will enable us to be successful in whatever we choose to do.
:) Thanks Mike!
