Hi guys, i have one stupid question ie. how do you know who originated pingback to your blog? In other words i would like to find out who was the person/Web site who linked my article.
eg. the most recent pingback notification i received arrived as a comment and contained link to my blog post along with IP address 81.19.145.238 based on this i can not tell who was behind this pingback.

i kindly ask you to advice

99% of the pingbacks you get back will include the site that they're linking to as well as an e-mail address.

If there is just an IP address, copy it and put it in your address bar at the top of your browser and look to see what comes up.

If there was no valid site, then I wouldn't worry about it and just keep producing content. That is the most important part.

If you're not in money producing activity, then you're getting off track.

This has been great. I get pingbacks all the time and I never really knew what to do with them. I accept them sometimes but only when it doesn't look like a crap comment. If it looks good, then I accept them but that is about it.
