"Can you NOT KNOW what's holding you back? And the path to finding the answers, does it come to you through persistence? This is what I keep thinking - maybe I'm wrong."
You are not wrong. To answer this, sometimes it is hard to figure out exactly what is holding you back. I think this is true with any situation and not just in our industry. My husband is an executive at a large corporation and was trying to figure out for months how to move forward in his career even though he is at the "top" already. After much thinking, discussing and soul searching, he has figured out his path and now feels like a weight has been lifted from his shoulders. Sometimes this may take months but really, like others said, you never know what the next day holds for you so keep on going.
I do believe in the principals of "The Secret" and that you need to keep a positive mindset and keep looking for solutions. It will all come in time.
Hey thanks for the reply Lesley. Even though this success rate is happening slower than I want, I always keep in mind that if I just keep doing it, those "aha" moments will eventually come. Then sometimes they do. But sometimes I begin to doubt it.
And then sometimes I start thinking well, what if I'm just doing something like a repetitive loop mentally, and I end up getting nowhere. So it's a lot of highs and lows.
It's cool you believe in the principals of "The Secret". Because I got caught up in religion as a teenager, I expected a lot from it and as it wasn't working for me, it left me with a lot of doubt.
The concept of the law of attraction intrigues me a lot because it's kind of science based and it seems like a concept that you can possibly touch if you know what I mean. But the doubt from the previous spiritual experiences hold me back from it because I don't want to be naive and make a fool of myself.
I think about it most days.
