Hey Mike,
Although I've not read all the responses to this question, I do agree with most of those that I have read. One must be themselves and tell their own story. They have to tell the truth about whatever it is they are trying to convey to others, especially if they are talking on the telephone with a future associate. People can and will sense when you are not being totally honest and up front with them. I really don't know why some people lie and try to be something they are not. Just be yourself and you will find others to be wanting to join you if you have value to share.
