I hate to analize the whole subject lol.. but the word guru, meaning "teacher," comes from the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit. A guru is a spiritual master in Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism who is able to transmit the wisdom of spiritual study and meditation to others.


Most internet marketing gurus want to help you succeed with your internet business. You just have to search for them and keep your eyes open for any offers from gurus to learn from them first hand. You also want to do some research about the different gurus online.
The more you can learn about each of the internet marketing gurus the easier it will be for you to decide who you want to learn from. Spend some time doing searches and visiting forums, especially if you don’t know who the gurus are.

A GREAT thread - something that bothered me recently, was the number of people who insist "I am not a Guru" - it's a use of psychology to help convince you they are.

Anyway, I was slightly disappointed that the "G word" had almost become taboo - so I got it in my head that we should reclaim it:

Personally...

..for awhile there I thought that *GURU* was an african bird..hey, Tarzan used to talk
to animals that way..for lions, anga wa cochiba..Monkeys..walla walla foo foo..I'm not
sure with hippos..Guru zamba..I'm not sure now, however, personally I think a real Guru
is hipp..

As a man thinketh, so is he. Being a Guru can mean many different things. Its loose. Now to call yourself a master? That's a whole nother thread.

nothing wrong about being a guru, there are people who say "im not a guru" but they are in fact gurus, but the whole guru thing becomes confusing when non gurus imitate real gurus..especially when the real gurus give advice to non gurus to act as real gurus themselves.......

This is a proven fact every single expert or guru is a self declared expert or guru why? Because no other experts will call you one to start of with. They may after sometime acknowledge your expertise or guru status but they will not bestow it upon you. The reason being they don't know you or how expert you are to start with. So if you want to call yourself a social media marketing guru do it - just be sure before you do it you can back it up otherwise you just end up being a plain wrong.

A Guru is someone who can show you the way, and give you the answers.

You'll know when you find a Guru because you'll be given the map, as well as the answers.

ANYONE can be a Guru, even a self-proclaimed Guru - if they are very good at what they do, and knowledgeable enough to help others (find their way).
