People ARE committed. And there are MILLIONS of people to talk to.

What happens is, after they talk to a few, the results are minimal and the enthusiasm fades.

So my question to you guys is this:

Could it be that the whole concept was oversold? Think of the things we're encouraged to tell people:

* It's a "huge", multibillion-dollar "market". You're stupid if you don't get a piece.

* It's easy! All you have to do is "talk" to people.

* EVERYBODY wants this. Or, at least they should.

* The timing is right.

* What's wrong with you? Don't you want this money? EVERYBODY wants money. If they're AFTER you, they're UNDER you.

* Are you going to be a victim of your job forever, until you retire broke and on welfare? Don't you want more than that for yourself? For your family?

* If you do this, you'll get leverage. You'll get "spillover". And you'll get all the help in the world, because you're in business FOR yourself, not BY yourself.

* Any smart, motivated person can do this. If you can't, you're one of the lazy, unfortunate, dumb ones. Go back and watch TV while I'm walking the beaches of the world and waiting for my check. Sucker!

* You only get this kind of offer twice in your lifetime. Is this your first? ... Or your last?

My question is this... do you know how to make the TRUTH appealing enough to make it work?

That is the second biggest lesson I've learned in MLM--- after learning the truth in the first place!

If only it was as easy as getting 3 people.

They say if you get about 30 people sponsored, maybe 1 or 2 of those will go big with it while the others don't do too much.

So shoot for 30 and you will see some great things happen :D

MLMers fail because of one super obvious thing...

They don't belong in business to begin with... Lets face it, many were told it was "easy" errrr

Many were sold on team support... errr most of the team doesn't know how to succeed in MLM, LOL

They were sold on a "phenomenal product".... errrr umm cancer curing juices ? Need I say more ? Cancer is very real and the cure is about 10 years out ....

So despite all of this ... many fail due to their own ignorance...Ignorant people in my downline ? hmmm I can't really expect them to amount to anything.

MLMers fail because their is lack of accountability. Not many really know how to run a business, and this isn't cured by "believe in yourself" antics, this is cured with a scholarly approach to actually building a business.

Those who make a lot of money, find themselves broke in a year... I get a lot of calls from Top Income Earners... who are now BROKE... Why ? because once they make the money they think its there forever ... WRONG AGAIN... They buy a new home, a new car, a new lifestyle ... OH YES ... LIFESTYLE APPEARS TO BE A BIG SELLING POINT IN THIS INDUSTRY... errrr

Many ask how did I last this long... hmmm instead of investing in lifestyle, I invested in long term equities ... No one talks about this though ...hmmmm

Do many people know how to market ? errr NOPE... yet they spend more time looking for "secrets" as opposed to what's practical...and necessary ...

The minute you stop treating your business like a "TICKET" is when you will start treating it like a "BUSINESS" and when that's done... your business will do what a business is meant to do ... MAKE MONEY

I think a lot of MLMers fail because they get into the business for the money...the easy money.
They buy into the hype a lot of companies promote that say "All you have to do is direct people to your website."

Well, most of us who have stuck around for awhile know that is a lot of poop! Honestly...if it were that easy, why on earth would the company even bother with a compensation plan or distributors???

There is a huge learning curve in Network Marketing and I think those who quit...or stop building their businesses...never had the desire to develop a business mindset to begin with.

When I got involved, I was looking to start a home based business. I got into Network Marketing because I tried a great product and a came to "know, like & trust" my sponsor.

Hi Chris,

I'll speak from experience. I have been in and around the Network Marketing and MLM industries since around 1995.

I did most of my marketing offline. Opps! I guess so, back in 1995, my badd.

I used direct mail, voice mail, my phone answer machine with pre-recorded messages, flyers, post cards etc...

Although I made some sales amd made some money, It was not enough to quit and go full time, yet those few sales let me know it can and does work, the industry that is.

Yet, it was not until 2007 that I got the revealtion that the MLM and NWM industries were legit, and that you could have a career making in access of six figures per year.

I have to give credit and thanks to an MLM mentor and person who is very passionate about this industry, Dale Calvert, that opened my eyes.

It was while listening to a audio of Dales called the "secrets of a network marketing millionaire."

I guess I thought MLM was just a get rich, or try and get rich deal. After all that is how most distributors always approached me with their deal, blind leading the blind.

I would have quit and have many times, but I now realize MLM/NWM is a real business and in order to experince success you the distributor must treat it as a business, just as you would any other business.

The plain truth about network marketing...

... If you make more than $2,000... per year... you are super successful in MLM.

The overall failure rate (according to the Direct Selling Association) has been 97%.

Failure means you made less than you spent.

A couple hundred extra dollars a month is enough to change most people's lives.

But tragically, millions of people in MLM have spent like they were going to make millions, and they ran out of money before the reality hit them.

TRUE MLM FACT: No matter what your product is, and no matter how you offer it to people, the majority of them will say no.

TRUE MLM FACT:
No matter who you are, or how much recruiting power you have, the majority of your people will recruit no one.

So you will have to introduce your product to lots and lots of people to sell it to the few who say "yes".

And you will have to recruit lots and lots of people in order to find the few who will recruit somebody else.

Trying to change these truths has led to failure. Every time.

So... how will you recruit lots of people? And how will you find lots of people to sell to?
