Hi iVan,
Why don't you start with an arbitrary number? Honestly there is no "set in stone" answer here.
The key is using them and managing them effectively.
Here's a scenario I've used...
Create about 10 email accounts at random email providers.
Do not create them all at one network, like Gmail. Switch it up, some Gmail, some Yahoo, some Hotmail, etc.
Then, at random, create about 7 or 8 bookmark profiles for each email account.
So what you want to end up with is each email profile consisting of a variance of the top10 bookmark services you chose, with no one email profile being identical, preferably; one or two may be ok.
So here's the thing, MANAGEMENT.
This is a time consuming process. Personally I use Onlywire. I think social marker is way outdated and unattended to. But, that still only gets you so far. Some services require manual confirmation, some like Mixx require you hand submit, or at least that's what I've seen.
So if you plan to really scale this technique, you should look at outsourcing.
Get your method down solid. As in DO IT YOURSELF about 10-15 times to learn exactly HOW to do it, as well as develop how you WANT it done.
Then create a screen capture explaining "how to do" your process. You don't have to explain WHY, just HOW.
As a matter of fact the less you explain why the better, it will be less confusing for the person watching it.
Now find your outsource team.
Don't forget your own backyard - START THERE FIRST!
Look for a jr high or high school kid that wants to make a few extra bucks. Someone you can trust that has some smarts. The whole generation is plugged in but you don't want some ditz messing with your business while he's texting his girlfriend and playing xBox with his homies. Well maybe you do... some of them are serious multi-taskers. But you get the picture.
Next option...
Dave Koteki turned me on to a killer resource that alludes me at the moment, but it's a Philippines based outfit that apparently rocks the house. Look him up for the 411.
More and more I'm getting away from stuff from Elance, etc with providers in other countries like India - no offense, AWESOME people and culture - we're jut not on the same page in regards to how western business is conducted and the language barrier is kind of brutal. But Philipinos?.... Man they got it goin on right now with their outsourcing game!
Also check out MTurk (Amazon's Mechanical Turk.) It can be hit or miss like Elance et. al., but worth a few trial runs to see if you can find a good source.
Get your tutorial video online. Setup a private video account with a password. Most of the popular video sharing sites have these. The point your new outsource provider to the video and have them do a test run.
NOTE: Make sure you get, DEMAND, daily detailed progress reports. This is not an option. If they don't comply fire them immediately.
In either case, no matter where you find them, when you do KEEP THEM! Meaning, when you find a good outsource provider, don't screw it up! Treat them right and they'll make you wealthy beyond belief.
OK..... does that help answer your question?
