I'm starting with 2 affiliate programs and a MLM. I have 3 sites to promote.
But how do I get more visitors to my sites?

I'm using twitter a bit and am now in several forums, what else can I do?

Hello Dave and welcome to BN.
Are you on facebook? That's another way to advertise.
How about MySpace?

Are you using any of the Safelists that are out there?
Traffic Swarm is another place to advertise.
I don't think setting up a blog just for your affiliate programs are a keen idea.
I wouldn't know how that'd work out. Unless you have your own blog and you can put a link(s) to your affiliate sites.

Hi Dave,

Jayne gave you some great advice. I use Traffic Swarm, Twitter, FaceBook, MySpace, etc. to share my opportunities...but here's a word of advice...they (your followers or future followers) don't want to be lambasted with "spam". What they really want is to get to know YOU....it's not about the opportunity, product, or next great money-maker. It's about you and who you are.

If you want people to follow you, you need to let them get to know you and learn a little bit about you. You might consider putting together a blog about yourself. Something that shares a little bit about you, your goals, your successes, why people should trust you...etc...The blog will give you a place to connect with other networkers, leaving comments, and exchanging links. You can also place your own links on your blog discreetly inviting others to take a look.

I also use the Twitter Toolbar, and the Share This/Add This badge wherever possible. Very helpful tools. If you have any questions or need any help. I'd be glad to give you a hand.

Dave, Dave, Dave..

This is really an open ended question that you've given us here. I mean there are so many different ways to get traffic to a website.

You've got content and article marketing.

You've got social communities such as this one, and twitter like you just mentioned.

You've got Video marketing like on youtube, and dozens of others.

You've got paid advertising like Ezine's and PPC.

You've got email marketing (after you've built yourself up a list)

You've got list builders.

You've got classified ads.

You've got handing out brochures in a mall (ha just kidding).

Those are all that I can personally think of right now. I am sure that there are others, maybe some better some worse.

My words of wisdom pick one, and master it.

Do NOT try to do all at once. You will be spread to thin, it will take too long to get traffic to your websites, and it might not ever happen.

I would pick either one or two of the ones listed above and really go after them. Learn everything that you can, and start generating consistent leads before you move on to the rest.

It is better to be AMAZING at one that, alright at 20.

Hey hey.. Ladies, he said he was a newbie, he probrably never heard of the words.. Traffic Swarm, Twitter, FaceBook, MySpace, etc. well i'm sure he has heard of two of them,If he did he probably wouldn't know how to use it,,, LOL not being fresh or anything,, I think We should let him tell us how far along he is and on what level we can help him without overwhelming him like I think we just did,,, what he knows and where he is will help us know what level we can help him....

Put a link to your websites in your signature right here on BN...

On every forum on every website you visit and decide to post or comment, if urls' are allowed in your signature... put'em there...

It's advertising , and you should advertise anytime you can , if you don't advertise your websites... nobody will.

Traffic is what everyone wants, but you want to make sure you're getting the traffic that is interested in what you're offering. Otherwise it's a waste of everyone's time, yours and your visitors.

You say you have 3 sites to promote. Are these yours or are they simply affiliate links? By this I mean do you own the domains and have control over what your visitor sees? It's much easier to get and convert traffic to a site that you control. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, you could start off with the simplest, ugliest site in the world and build it up as you go along.

Meantime, try putting out some content related to your business opps and linking them back to your site. Article marketing is great for traffic and backlinks, but make sure you get the most out of every article you create.

The backlinks will help your sites get found in the search engines so it's important you know what 'keywords' your potential visitors will be using when looking for what you're offering.

Traffic Exchanges won't really get you much of anything except 'hits' to your site. If you have a really unique page, and if you know how to use them properly, you might get somewhere, but basicaly, those folks are there trying to get you to sign up to their biz, not looking for a biz for themselves.

Can you make videos? Youtube can be a great way to get visitors just by putting up some relevant videos on what you're offering and how it can help folks.

Lots of things you can do as a newbie, so don't put them off. Sure, it'll take time to learn all the ins and outs of all the different methods, but you might as well be generating some traffic in the meantime right?

I did traffic exchanges and safelists in the beginning but I wasn't getting the traffic I needed for my business. Now, I'm doing blogging and social networking and it's working out quite well.

There are only two ways to get traffic to your web site.

You buy traffic

You earn traffic

How much money do you have to buy traffic each week? If you have none, then you must
do some work to drive traffic to your site. This can be time consuming and you may not
see results right away. There is a lot of good advise here on driving traffic the free methood
but the one that you should be using here is your signature file. Put at least one link in there
then post to those topics that interest you the most.

You will find that when you ad value people want to see what you are about. So start using
your signature file. It could be the best quality traffic you earn.
