Newbie Questions...
I just started the MLM traffic formula course and I have absolutely no regrets about purchasing it, and I can really see that the info can help create a very lucrative business. In the fist module when Tim discusses market research he uses weight loss as an example and it seems like there are endless markets and submarkets for weight loss. My question is how do I do market research for the telecommunications market? Using the methods that he discussed and showed in the video I have not been able to come up with any results. Is there something that I am doing wrong? and if so how can I fix it?...also is there anyone else here in the telecommunications niche that has had some success doing market research?

Whats up Andi,
You'll need to be a little more specific man.
When you post questions in the forum it's best to be very specific.
Start by posting your URL. Put in this format so no one will call you out for spamming your link:
{ domain.com/page-in-question.html }
Then describe the issue you are having in detail. If it's a keyword problem, post the keyword.
It would also help to know what company you are with and the products/services you offer and ho wthey relate to this particular project.
Don;t make it a pitch. We don't need to hear how great it all is, just spell out the details so we can help you with the research process.
Make sense?
So in your case "market research for the telecommunications market"
I haven't really seen much of what the new course teaches, I have TF v1.0.
But I feel very comfortable telling you that it all starts with you clearly identifying your target audience.
Are you targeting cell users? Broadband users? Landline customers?
be extremely specific - laser focused.
then draw a word picture of what they look like.
Like I said, i don't know if they go into that level of profiling or not, but it's something I use in my own marketing. You can use Quantcast as a spring board to gather demographic data.
This will give you a great base to work from for your keyword research.
One thing I would say is don't make the mistake of going too broad for your keywords.
So for example, let's say you want to tackle mobile service. Don't go after something vague like "mobile service" or "cellular service"
Look at your demographic data and try to match comparable service keywords.
example: This is what your competitive landscape would like in Google
Now of course this is just off the cuff, I put all of about 40 seconds into that research.
But you get the idea.
From there you can use that methodology to craft a multiple variables based on your demographic/product pairing.
Does that make sense?

Re: Newbie Questions...
Hey Richard thanks for the advice. I'm not exactly clear on what you mean by posting my URL do you mean the URL for my nerve center?...also I am a distributor for ACN, and they provide all telecommunications services (landline, digital phone, videophone, cell phone, broadband, and TV) as well as gas/electricity and if possible I would like to target all of these markets but I was unable to create a word picture of what they would look like, Quantcast told me they are too busy to take me on at this time. Also would I be able to do online market research for customers in my primary opportunity if my company doesn't allow me to use their name?

Hey Andi
Richard and Dean (as usual) are right and completely brilliant I might add!
Pick your product like Dean said and then think about what your potential customers biggest concerns, wants, needs and questions are about it. Do a video about it, a report, pdf or something like that and give it away for free on your Nerve Center as an incentive to sign up to your list. Then offer more helpful advice in your autoresponder series, building trust first. Then when they are ready they'll sign up or buy an affiliate product you have that ties into what you're company offers.
Build your sales funnel around your customers. Always think of them first and then the product second.

Re: Newbie Questions...
Andi,
Is this kind of courses you will find only two themes:
Weight Loss.
Dog Training.
Why the intructors do that? Because those are obvious and very easy markets to ilustrate.
In your case you must learn what people are searching for...study each product you have in your arsenal...go one by one until you found the most popular search...go to the first page on Google and Yahoo, Bing study what the sites at the first page are offering...compare with what you have to offer...be an expert on that particular product and start your marketing campaign. You can rest assure that the people atracted to your offer will find out about all the array of products you carry in your company site.
Later on you can have one campaign for every single product you carry...but for now start with the most popular SEARCH.
The cycle is :
Who is searching?
For what?
In what medium (website or search engine)
Finding whom?
With what result.

This advice right here from Dean will save you THOUSANDS in courses you don't now have to buy. Be a nice guy and ask him for his paypal email so you can at least buy him a beer

I personally won't worry if they don't allow using company name. You're the company. Plus, there's so much more now you can do with other stuff without mention the company.
For example, think about Network Marketers and customers lifestyle, what they do, how they get trained, what they read and...
- books regarding subject, dig even deeper, break it down to authors name, look at even the content in the book.
-Make notes of the authors of the books.
- See the customer comments too and check their language out, what words they use. See which ones selling more. Mention them as you write.
- Make notes of MLM leaders, Trainers, etc, cause Network Marketers are following them, reading from them, training from them.
- Look at training systems around this niche
- Look at Gossip or new rising MLM companies..
- Magazine
- Organisations
Then you get an idea how it is in their thinking, and get into their head. To then build around them with content, training, products, systems etc.
These are good for ideas for articles, headlines with rich content, keywords..
Use them to do good in the industry and as you write, you'll attract MLM, Network Marketers from these areas, who are reading these books, who are in that new rising MLM company, who are looking for business, customers and businesses who are looking for telecommunication stuff, who are getting training in that area..
I like what Dean was saying, on focusing on one product and..
Have a report or buyers guide on what to look for in a cell phone provider that you can give away for example. Create something of genuine value that solves a problem for people. Definitely look into that mate. I just spent some time, 30-40 mins and found from reading comments on customers, I find they need some help in knowledge, plus, they do hours after hours searching for phone etc.
So they don't just go and buy, they really like details from what I've been reading in Amazon, in comments section for phones and digital stuff, plus in forums regarding digital, phones and satilite stuff.
You got a community who isn't lazy but will look and dig to read more on their phones before they buy. So giving them an ebook with some good nuggets, knowledge to help them would help.
Now, if you got a service that allows them try out first, give some experience touch to it...well, you never know. But as dean says, focus on one product first and dig deeper.
By the way, that link on signature seems to not work.
