That is most likely an add-on that he put in after-the-fact. As far as I know, that isn't included in SBI, but they might have made some changes that I'm not aware of, as I don't use SBI myself. I DO, however, HIGHLY recommend it for newbies to the web and SEO and monetizing.

That "walk-on" feature is a relatively new thing, and there aren't a whole lot of places out there that are offering it right now.

if you're a geek, you might be able to figure out how to do it yourself, it isn't impossible!

I'm an SBI user and I have not come across this as being a standard feature. So, I also believe it's an added feature.

this is a friend of mine however I will be doing my own. I just have to get to the studio a few hours away.
I am not sure how much of an impact it has had I do think that when I change it over to actually be me that the result will be much higher as it is my site.
I currently get around a 5 - 7% rate of people leaving their details.

I am a proud SiteBuildIt owner and affiliate. It is the absolute best complete solution out there on the web hands down. following their tuturials has saved me hundreds on buying e-books on SEO, website traffic building, google adwords, adsense and the like.

I can tell you this Michelle, If it was not for the education I got just going through the site building video tutorials and the "helped and be helped" culture in the forums I would not have had the success I have had so far without spending months trying to figure out left from right and still suffering in the dark like most people on the Internet (even this site).

I must warn you that if you're looking to get rich quick or a wam-bam-slam way to just through up a site SiteBuildIt is NOT for you! Also if your just looking for a landing/squeeze page I would suggest to go else where as well. But if you want a complete web-based business solution with multiple monetization methods you can't get closer to perfect than SBI.

And that's not just hype or my opinion that's a proven fact!

If you want to take a peek inside the private members only forums I invite you to use my personal invitation... you can read post and search for answers to questions but you just can't ask any (which, trust me you won't need to since the questions and answers go back 6 or more years).

If I had to give a draw back I would say it's this... the block builder is restrictive. However I built my entire site using it back in February til now and I'm taking their tutorial that walks me through how to transition to uploading my own html which is very simple.

With the education and tools I've learned through SBI I have been able to build non-sbi sites too for myself and others but again, I build it all in my SBI back office using my included tools and then cut and paste.

That's not to say that there are not other great options they just are not as complete, customizable nor expandable as SBI. If what you need is a bike with training wheels that come off and turn into rockets:

Thought I would add my 0.02 cents worth on SBI. This is a partial answer to a recent question I received via my blog.

Now, there are two types of sites you can create. One using a tool like SBI which contains what you need to create and publish a site online.

Pros

* SBI has pretty rigorous *standards* for producing a site. This works FOR you in that it forces you to use the best practices required to succeed online. The pages are forced to be SEO compliant and HTML standards compliant.
* SBI builds in your analytics so you know where someone came from to get to you, and where they leave from. You can print reports on how many people showed up in a given time frame.
* SBI contains a built in autoresponder so you can follow up with your *prospects* or customers over time. Studies have shown that being able to address your target market more than once increases your chances of *making the sale*.
* Training is included. They have extensive forums and training areas where they will take you by the hand and walk you through each of the processes. In fact, I would venture to say their web training is probably some of the best on the Internet today

Cons

* HTML is the only type of site you can use. This means additionally programmed pages like PHP, ASP or ASP.NET are not an option.
* The SBI sites all tend to look a little alike. While they do have *templates*, they are similar in nature. It is possible to build your own or expand on it, but using SBI for this is a little *clunky*.

Of the other type of site, the one you create from scratch, there are a lot of benefits, but technical expertise becomes something of a requirement. When you first start out, you can use a blog to help build up your credibility and establish your name on the *net*. In fact, I have a lot of the people that want help from me start there since it is easy to get going, doesn't require a lot of technical knowledge and goes a long way towards building up that credibility.

Pros

* Any type of web page can be designed, within the limits of your hosting provider and your willingness to learn how. (ie: Windows based hosting plans allow ASP files, Lunix does not)
* You have complete control over your site with no external requirements that have to be satisfied.
* When you purchase hosting for one site, you ALSO get (depending on the plan selected) the option to do others. Sometimes, many others.


Cons

* Separate costs for domain name purchase, hosting and autoresponder. I won't add analytics here since that can mostly be gotten for free. It does require some setup though. I have some recommendations based on experience (since this the direction I went) if you are interested.
* Separate places to look for how your traffic is converting, what's working and what isn't. (Although Woopra has just come on the scene and this one tool is the one I use for all my sites)
* Separate places to look and manage your autoresponder messages and lists.

Internet Marketing, to be successful, requires a *list*. I know you have probably heard this before, perhaps even more than once. This is critical to your success. Period.

I have used Site Build It since May of this year.What it gives you is a way of building free not PPC traffic.It will take time,my traffic is growing slowly but it is growing.You can use the SBI templates for your web site or upload your own HTML.
It gives you all the data you need on traffic,where it is coming from,what keywords are being used,what is your top entry and exit pages to name a few.

This is not a pay -$10- and- get-a domain-name service,it teaches you how to build a site that gets noticed.

It is where I first came across the concept of pre-selling which is what we all do here.

So I would recommend it to anyone.
