Hi All,
A general question about PPC advertising. If you are running separate Adwords ad groups directing prospects to the same BOAB affiliate link, how do you tell which ad group a prospect originated from?
I have prospect names appearing in my MS Prospects group and want to track which keyword/ad group generated the lead. Thanks.

Re: Tracking PPC responses
Hmm, good question. Normally you would put ?t= after your destination URL (ie www.mdstravel.com?t=adgrp1) in your ad to track where it came from but I can't say for sure if the MS Prospects database captures that field. I'm guessing it doesn't by looking at it. I would think if you're spending money on PPC you would want to direct people to your own landing page so you have the leads in your own database and not Mike's. You can still advertise the boot camp videos, just don't send them to the standard affiliate page. That way you can send out your own emails to them to really monetize your list to offsite the cost of PPC.

Not sure if you're still interested, but appending ?c={creative}{keyword} to your MS links will add the Adwords ad id code and the keyword. If you're not interested in the ad id, just leave it out.
