Thanks so much Shane! I really appreciate you taking the time to evaluate my (and the others) nerve center. I have worked on mine a bit more. You've really helped me a lot. And, you are so right! My site didn't have much direction and was too flashey. I'll work on the suggestions you've given me.

Thanks again!!

Anyway I would love to see what other people are doing for the Nerve Center. Here is mine http://www.MakeMyOwnFuture.com still working on it trying to get some things cleaned up. Tell me what ya think so far. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My product that I am giving away is being worked on right now, so hopefully it will be done before this class ends. So if you fill out the form, you will get nothing. :D .

Learning so much

Looks great Randy...really..where did you get your logo and graphics made. Did you go that site in the resources pdf?

Shane, thanks for your compliments. Yes, the daniellelong.blogspot.com is my personal blog. I am working on my marketing one, but actually my question was where I should host it/do it. Do you recommend wordpress or something different? (Anyone else feel free to chime ikn your opinions too!) I am working on wordpress right now, but not overly impressed; however I'm not the least bit technically savvy. I'd love to have someone that would help me set up a system for me and my team...how much would that cost?

Also, how do I add an opt-in page to my blog?

Danielle,

in my opinion, Wordpress is the best. There are almost limitless widgets and a great support community. As for hosting the blog, I would suggest GoDaddy, as it makes everything VERY easy to do. Wordpress is pretty plain-jane until you start adding the right widgets, at that point it truly takes off into a category all by itself.

It's like having windows with no other programs. Start adding additional programs, and the system becomes better! =)

I would love to help you set up a system. As for cost, it all depends on what exactly you are looking for. If you're interested in my help, please shoot me a PM and we can discuss it more in depth.

As for an optin, I'd suggest Aweber, as it's the best and easiest to code. That's about $19/month until you get over 500 people subscribed. At that point however, it should easily be paying for itself. Don't sign up for it yet. Let's talk first, and we'll see what we can do. =) I can automate pretty much everything for you.

My pages thus far (all for the same opportunity, but for my downline) are:

www.nuriche-ment.com
www.nurichepioneers.com
www.veggieinacup.com
www.nuriche-live.com

a few suggestions for Randy:

1. in your "The Butlers Approach To Network Marketing" i would suggest changing the words and/or highlighting different words. it will help with a subliminal message. if you check my Nuriche site you will see that my subtitle (basically a copy of Jason Better) says "The Internets Most Trusted Nuriche Independent Distributor" the words that I highlight add a second more clear message "The Most Trusted Distributor". It's sneaky kung fu, but very effective.

2. your header graphic is fricken huge. it looks awesome, but there's a LOT of empty real estate sitting there. I'd suggest maybe moving your opt-in to the header. or something. anything. =) not just white space. remember, the top 1/3 of your page is the most valuable.

now to Casey:

Casey, I like your site. The news template was one I contemplating using myself. No matter what you decide to change your url to, the title should not be the default. =)

"Enter your email to access free video"........... about what? lol. you've gotta sell me a little more. tell me what watching this video is going to do for me. give me some incentive. I'm currently crafting better copy for my opt-in box also. but to my understanding, it's essential.

Next, I'd change some link colors. The blue link color, to me, doesn't seem to work with the orange and the black. I'm partial to the orange and black however, as that is what my next sites colors are going to be.

Hope this helps you guys out, keep being awesome! It's great to see so many budding entrepreneurs in a time when America seems to be falling down around us. Remember, it's on the backs of independent business-people that America was built. I truly believe it is on the backs of those sames types of people that America's only chance for survival and resurgence rest.

Thanks Shaneykins for your imput. My correct my opt in needs alot of help. Im new to wordpress but good with Dreamweaver. Trying to get used to wordpress. Weird haveing to work around the templates and it uses alot of CSS. Im not good with CSS myself.

What to focus on is killing me. Product upfront or Opportunity?

I understand the YOU inc. business model but im finding it difficult to find a angle I can claim to be an expert at. Lead generation, marketing etc seem to be played out.

Im with a Health and Fitness focused company that sells dvd homeworkout programs ( P90X ) and nutritional supplements.

So i was thinking about focusing on the at home workout aspect. What do yall think?

Perhaps the "you inc" is easier than you are searching for.

to me, you've just labeled what you are an expert at.

you are an expert at being you. another guy, trying to get by through marketing an amazing product.

there is your 'in' with your market.

you're just another dude, who - like your customers has to work out. You've found your answer. Use your product, and show your results. Whether in blogs, pictures, or videos. Simultaneously improve your life, and make a killer master marketing strategy.

You don't have to be good at everything, or anything for that matter. You just need people to relate to you. To come to you, and your product because they feel that if it 'works for you, then it might work for me'. explain why you were skeptical, and what put your skepticism's to rest. Explain to them not the features of the product, but instead the benefits of using the product. =)

Hope that makes sense!

as for the mouseover popup, i purchased a java program.

sometimes it helps to click "View" on the top of your browser, then click "Page Source".

from there, you'll find lots of code.

in the meantime, if you're series about designing yourself.... go to the library, and pick up a book on CSS. It's probably one of the easiest codes to learn. and the best part about the library is, it's free!

look for 'popup' widgets with wordpress

oh, and you can still use dreamweaver. create your item in dw, then copy and paste the code into your blog posts / widgets. =)
