Ok, I'm stumped. I have been trying for a few days without success and thought I would ask if any of you have been able to pull this off.

What I want to do is have my Wordpress feature box (general idea--doesn't have to be the feature box) contain a welcome video, be in the content pane so i can point to my optin box, and NOT screw up the entire layout.

Maybe there is a plugin that someone knows about?

Scott can you be a little more specific?
Are you referring to the use of the "featured content" plugin?
Or is your "featured" box generated another way? Like a widget area?

I am using the Thesis theme and it includes a "feature box" which can be above the header, below the header or in the content area.

Because of my layout I would like to have it in the content area as essentially the first post (although it is not a post it acts like it for layout).

Currently, if I put it into the content, it bleeds over into the sidebar widget area and really screws up the layout. I have played around with the css trying to get it sorted but have had limited success. Perhaps you know about a plugin that might help?

I apologize because I should have mentioned Thesis in the original post.

I just gave up and resorted to working it out using html.
