Hi folks,

I have been inactive for some time due to serious issues that I must prioritize. But now I am back. Anyways, lately I have been criticizing my own blog site and realized that I don't have a cool photo gallery in it. I tried one the other day and it doesn't satisfy me because:

1. The random photos that appear on the box are not clickable.
2. If I manage to make it clickable, it can only link to my about page.
3. The thumbnail is rather too small.
4. You have to refresh the whole page before you can see a different photo.

So what I want is:

1. A photo gallery plug-in that displays random photo in every x seconds.
2. with a decent thumbnail size. (meaning large enough to get appreciations)
3. something with forward/back buttons
4. and of course easy administration.

What would you recommend?

Hey Geoffery,

First, have you looked the NexGEN Gallery Plugin?
This is standard issue for most Wordpress photo gallery needs. Start there.

If that doesn't cut it, then see if any of these accomplish what you're looking for ...

I second Richard's recommendation of NextGen Gallery - I use it in many blogs/websites that I'm the admin for. You can even stream an mp3 in the background whilst a gallery gets run:

(this was an Amazon/Adsense affiliate website I knocked up last August as an experiment).

NextGen Gallery is simply one of the most configurable/flexible Wordpress galleries out there & I highly recommend it.

Thanks Jamie! I will try some of those when I decide to change gallery plug-ins. My site needs updating from time to time so this link is a handy one.
