A Little Inspirational Story

Postby Mario Sanders on Tue Sep 07, 2010 6:07 pm

I was walking through our trail park with my son that inspired this little story.
A Catepillar was walking along and met a small snail. The catepillar stopped and said hello to the small snail. Then the catepillar said, 'I am going to be something else tomorrow!' The small snail looked up at the catepillar and said, 'Yeah, right! I am going to be somewhere else, too! The next day something came hovering over the small snail. It landed beside him. The big butterfly said, 'don't you remember me?' 'I was here yesterday.' The small snail looked up and they looked back about an inch. The small snail said, 'you see I am here and about an inch I was there.'
The moral of this little story is: go at your own pace.

Thanks everybody! This little inspirational story does say one thing, everybody can not be the butterfly. It's nice to be the butterfly and soar as far as you wish. But, being a small snail is not bad either. The small snail did accomplish his goal. He did made an inch along his way. That is an accomplishment for one so small snail to go so far. I feel like the small snail sometimes. I inch along my way, but, learning as I go. I am not soaring like everyone else, but nonetheless, I am making progress. Now isn't that what everyone is trying to do?

Mario, you are absolutely right! Go at your own pace and plan to succeed. Do something everyday towards the success of your business. Some days are busier than others, so it may be a simple little thing that you do for your business, other days you may do more, but the important thing is; you are moving forward towards success.

Thanks, Cynthia! I shall remember this. I think just by learning different techniques on the BN is very helpful for me. I may be slow but I am making progress. Being here has been a learning experience and has been fun.

Either way...something else bigger is likely to come along and eat both the snail & the butterfly!

Welcome, Cyrstal to the BN. I do look forward to some of your thoughts and comments.
We all can not be butterflies. We must all go at our own pace, whether its soaring over others or inching along the way.
Being the small snail isn't so bad. You're seeing a large world and enjoying every inch by inch, whereby others are soaring over head speeding along with life. Are they taking the time to see life as it is, or do they have time to stop and smell the flowers?
We have a long ways to go. Stop and smell the roses. View a sunset from a distant place. Enjoy the ride!
Thanks for your comments!

Absolutely, Mario! Loved your story!

As long as we always keep going and never stop it's perfectly okay to go at our own pace.We are individuals.

Thanks Ilka! These little stories inspires us to live a little each day. Enjoy the moments we have. You have to get away from this rat race we are in and just enjoy the day with your family and friends.
Taking long walks does inspires me, refreshes my thoughts and I can sit back and be with my family and relax.
Thanks everyone for commenting and have a nice day!
