I also have wasted my time with traffic exchanges. they are a good source for poor leads. If you're not careful, you can waste money in that arena. Be wise, invest that money into something more valuable. As mentioned earlier...
Buy an HD camera and make some videos with the money you would have wasted on traffic exchanges.
