Struggling MLM-er: Advice please about leads buying

Postby Alex Tordai on Fri Dec 17, 2010 7:14 pm

Hello,

I'm new here but not to the MLM, lately I'm struggling though to attract any new members to the 2 MLM's I'm presently member of (GBG and Teamwork Revolution Power System).

About 2 months ago I came over a program called "Little Ticket to Wealth" ( littletickettowealth.com/ ). This sounds pretty good because it is a one-time sign-up fee of $150 and then for every month for $10 a member gets 150,000 leads, which leads conform the info on the site are very good ones (100% opt-in quality, generally good for large scale emailing).

For those who do not have a reliable mass emailing software or are not paying member for a mass email delivery system there even is a possibility that for $19.97 extra per month to use the "little ticket to wealth-s" mass mailing software, good for uploading 5,000 leads per day (there are more expensive variants too with more uploading per day possible).

Now my dilemma is that is this program really as good as it sounds, and these leads are not very much oversold?
The guy who sent me advertising email about membership to "little ticket to wealth" (there is also an MLM program associated with LTW, if you are referring others) told me when I asked him that they are very good quality leads. But I can't trust the guy, mainly because every month he sends me at least 25 emails (obviously I'm on his list) from which 3-5 are about new MLM advertisement emails, so I'm thinking he's member in about 20 MLM-s, lol...

So please if anyone have knowledge about "Little Ticket to Wealth" help me giving a honest opinion:
It's worth or not to pay for the membership?

I've done my homework, google-ing all info about this program, but I could not find any bad opinions about, but again, having an MLM associated with it's just normal that a lots of people are trying to sell this leads membership program as a moneymaking MLM program, so they write only good stuff about it.

Thanks a lot in advance for your input and advice.

Rembrandt,

I actually own a lead generation company and can safely say, depending on how many people are in this new program, chances are VERY GOOD each set of 150,000 is distributed DOZENS, if not hundreds of times within the organization - again, depending on how many are involved.

The reason is there are less than a half dozen REAL lead generation companies that generate most of the "fresh" leads available to the industry each month. On average, there are 1.8 to 3.0 MILLION new leads available for distribution each month. If your company is buying these... say they buy 1.5 million every other month... and there are 1000 people in the business:

1,500,000 / 150,000 = 10 sets
10 sets / 1000 = each set gets distributed 100 times

Frankly, you would be pretty safe to assume the leads are worthless. Then again, testing is always a good plan because you never know.

Alex, being in two MLMs or more at the same time is a tricky business. I suggest you focus on one MLM at first. Regards generating your own leads I suggest you pick up a course of MLM Traffic Formula and starting from there.

Build one and build it strong because just like Daniel points out it can be tricky working 2 MLM's at the same time. When you sponsor someone then where do you put them, are you doing the right thing putting a person in one compared to the other, which would work best for them? Generate your own leads if possible, get a copy of MLM Traffic Formula and Magnetic Sponsoring. Most leads are sold hundreds of times and the vast majority are simply worn out and have been contacted numerous times by a huge number of individuals. As far as the membership goes I would shy away from a monthly fee, take the money and invest in training materials or books like the one's mentioned above.

Just a thought but I would suggest you get a picture up so we can all get to know you better. People want to see who they are dealing with and a picture will be the first step toward helping you build relationships with people.

I agree with the comments in this thread, Magentic Sponsoring is a MUST for lead generation, as it gives so much VALUE to not only you but your prospects as well. Running Two MLM Businesses, even through branding can be tricky, I run an offline one, but use SM to find prospects for that, which has a knock on effect into my Onlinen Business.

i hope this is of some help to you.

Good luck

I would have to agree with this panel. Buying worn out leads can get costly. Why not build your own list of leads and go from there. Establishng your own leads is fresh and your market will get to know you. Your market will more likely buy from someone they are familiar with and can trust in a brand name.
Buying leads as you start out does gets costly and it may take a longer time to just break even and probably longer to see a profit.
Take your money and invest in more training in branding yourself and marketing techniques.

when it comes to leads, I always recommend that you generate your own for many reasons such as people wanting info from you, they connect with you through your branding, they'll know who you are and expect your emails etc
I have spent thousands upon thousands of £'s buying leads from some very reputable companies and sources but not found much luck.
Sometimes the free methods are the best, keep up the good work :)

A question, why are you doing 2 MLMs at the same time? it does not work,

Second, email leads in almost every case don't work, the only leads I buy are the ones with physical address, I prefer to use direct mail with leads, I like when people call me, I don't call or email leads..

You are right to question this, it is all too easy to be swept away with the promise of "buy me" "buy me" however as we have all said concentrate on building 1 solid business.

I never felt comfortable buying leads, mostly they have been passed around and are dead, there are more ways to go about it!

Think about why YOU signed up to this guys list, in the first place, where did you find his information, what did he offer you that made YOU interested...then think what are you offering your visitors and why would they give you their email addresses.

my advice is stay away from promises, and the 'BUY ME@ and you will be wealthy beyond your dreams....that are just too good to be true, find something YOU believe in and stick with it giving it 110% not split your time between projects.

Good Luck
