How has Google Adsense contributed to your Revenue Streams?

Postby Adil Shamim on Wed Dec 29, 2010 2:23 am

Hey Guys :

I am looking to get a reaction of your own personal experiences in using Google Adsense on your website?

I have come to realize that if your website is experiencing high traffic , its a great tool to use to get that extra revenue stream in your portfolio..

The floor is open!..:)

Cheers,
Adil

In my opinion, if you're a networker and giving users on your site an opportunity to click an ad and leave your site that isn't a good mix. They might stay around longer, perhaps fill out a form on your site or bookmark you which could bring you a new distributor and endless income. Or you could earn a quick $.10 for their click and a guy like me could get their business by placing ads on your site.
Best MLM Reviews site.

Well, for me Adsense was the worst paying monetization model.

I started with Adsense 5 or 6 years ago. In the beginning, I was very thrilled with Adsense. I read all kinds of e-books from Adsense "gurus" and expected to earn lots of money.

In the end I realized that earning with Adsense is very simple - all you need to have is a website with lots of traffic and high-paying keywords. All other tricks and techniques (ad placements and so on) do not make much difference.

I was running Adsense on 2 of my websites, which received about 5000 visitors a day. My earnings were 200-300$ a month.

I also had other streams of income on my websites:
- I was selling my own products
- I was a reseller of other companies health products
- I tried referrals model
- I had ads on my websites

Compared to Adsense, I earned a five-digit income from other streams of revenue. In the end, I removed Adsense from my websites because I realized that it was taking my customers away from me.

The only place where I still run Adsense is my board, where I don't use any other streams of income. But I am going to change that very soon by selling ad space and so on.
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams

Adsense can be a great revenue stream, but just like anything, it involves particular strategies to make them work.

Two of the better free guides out there I've seen are as follows:

http://danielmcgonagle.name/passive-inc ... e-outline/ by Daniel McGonagle

and

http://www.inlineseo.com/blog/ by Lisa Parmley. Look for the topic "The Truth Files" on her blog.

Excellent free read for anyone looking to make $$ with Adsense.
