Has Anybody Ever Used Safelists to Get Leads?

Postby Janiece Thompson on Sat Dec 11, 2010 7:56 pm

Just wondering if anybody has had any success using Safelists to get traffic to their squeeze page?

If you have, which ones work best for you?

Thanks for your help.

I have a couple on my team who have been using Safelists almost exclusively to promote various things online over the years with success. I never paid too much attention. However, due to their results (which I could see in my genealogy) I did start using two different programs with good success. Send me a note and I'll pass you the links. I don't think we can post links here.

I've used them in the past...much like Traffic Exchanges in terms of the quality of the traffic, but they do convert, you just need to be consistent with the mailings.

However, don't waste your time click click clicking away on safelists. I strongly recommend that if you are going to use this strategy for lead generation, just go buy the package which will give you a certain amount of mailings each day (or every 4 days, whatever it is).

Definitely not worth your time clicking away to earn credits on them, but its an easy way to go out and generate leads for about 10 minutes of work a week. Same thing goes for traffic exchanges, just go buy the monthly package and let it run.

I always made more $$ on them than I spent, and did recruit a few into my downline from using them.

However, the thing with these services is that they tend to get "burned out" after a while and the lists get much less responsive over time.

Hi Janiece,

I'm with Rob on this one. I've started using safelists (following his suggestion) a little while ago and am starting to get leads.

Like Kurt says, you do have to be consistent and post your mailings on a regular basis. Just like with anything else people "don't bite" the first time they see your ads :)

And yes, buy the upgraded packages that give you a certain amount of credits. It's definitely not worth your time to sit and click up credits for hours.

Good luck to you!

I've used DownlineBuilder Direct, List Builder Maximizer, Active Safelist and List Effects. They are all time-consuming unless you have money to invest in credits. But they work if you work them. ;)

I LOVE safelists and have built my GVO business almost exclusively using both this method as well as traffic exchanges... Those reading safelist emails are networkers like you are. So the leads generated are of a very high quality.

I don't think it's an effective way to directly promote your opt-in opportunity, but I've seen great traffic to my blog with quite a few opt-ins from there.

Converting is the challenge and that comes with building relationships over time, which is why getting a blog subscriber out of it might be the best use.....

Using this strategy, I've seen more income from affiliate related products rather than direct to my opportunity, but they are on my mailing/subscriber list....

I agree 100% with everyone else.... Don't waste your time repeatedly clicking... buy the upgrade or skip this tactic.

There is a real old one called awesome safelist you can google it for the URL it's been around for a long time and with only 1700 members your messages tend to get read. Now right a compelling offer and you should get some conversion.

good luck

To use safelists effectively you will need to do several things.

Get TWO email accounts that you will use just for this purpose. One for your general list mailings that will number in the tens of thousands in record time... and a contact email that is reserved for communications with the safelist companies as well as exclusive mailings from other members called "solo" mailings. I recommend Gmail accounts since they are safelist friendly and have the storage space you will need for your list email. Plus they are free.

I advocate clicking some emails for credits. Remember, If everyone just bought credits and no one clicked on any emails the whole system falls apart. It's just like expecting everyone else in your downline to prospect while you sit at the top "managing". It doesn't work... EVERYONE should click some emails. I recommend clicking the solo emails that are sent to your contact email address as they are worth a lot of credits... around 500 to 1000 each. That translates to being able to email out 500 to 1000 to your list for every ONE that you read... A good deal.

Purchase solo's (emails that are sent to the leads contact email) as much as you can. For typically around $5.00 each, you can reach thousands of networkers for a fraction of what it would cost you rent a list and autoresponder. And these emails get read almost guaranteed.... Again, a pretty good deal if you ask me.

Here is a link to what I think is the best and most responsive list around. And I have used dozens of them.

You can join for free but I do recommend at least the minimum package for the credits included.
