Strongest ways to optimize e-mail marketing

Hey crew,

just discovered the affiliate marketing
forum and couldn´t wait to start with
my first thread, because I´m very passionate
about it..

Let´s talk a little bit about email marketing and
which strategies are the most effective.
For instance: In which intervals have you guys
reached the greatest results by sending out an
email campaign to your list?

I´ve tried it with 1-3 days and must say, that I
definitely had the best results, by sending out
and email every second day.

Probably because of the break, which makes
people hungry to continue on, or because
they can´t wait to receive the next.

Have also reached much better opening rates
this way.

What have been your best results here?

Well that's going to depend in what type of email you are sending
to your list.

For Example: if you are mailing a course then the best way it's
sending emails everyday.

But if you are running a launch then the best thing to do it's sending
emails every now and then in the same day, to always remember
your list the time of the launch.

To send regular emails the best way to me it's sending them every
2-3 days, you just have to treat them as your friends..

When I start a new email campaign,

my first message is usually the offer once again,
free ebook link, or video link, or even just a quick
hello letting them know what to expect over the
next few days.

I will then send and email a day for about 3 days in a row,
emails are only sent Mon-Fri 3am-6am

Only very relevant content is given to them in this time.

Then it's the waiting game for about 3 days, then BAM!

Another short email saying hey I found this great Article,
video, or even a blog post.

(No Selling Is Happening In This Time, Only Pure Conent)

Then I switch to about every 2 or 3 days sending emails
and about after the first week, is when I'll present an offer
to them.

I have found a much higher rate of purchases doing things this way. :D


Here's a funny but not so funny story...

I was listening to a copywriting audio one day, and in the audio
the person said the the subject line 'Are You Dead?' Had great results.

So I thought I would use it one day.

I must say, I think it had the most open rates I had ever seen. (Not Kidding)

however...

Someone replied back to me stating,

"Actually yes, my husband did pass away this past year
and you have opened up some raw nerves. Please do
not disrespect his memory anymore..."


Wow! :shock:

Did I ever feel like a jackass... :oops:

I agree totally with your timing plan. Very good tip to share with others!

But, I was totally WOWed by your experience with your "Are You Dead" email.

WOW.

Really makes you think twice about what your "Subject" title is, huh?

Hmm..maybe I better go back and look at some of mine just to be on the safe side. ;)

I have found a P.S under your signature with the link to where you want them to go helps with the

click throughs, opens are one thing its the click of your link that is the real key, but no one is going ot click your link if they don't open your email agreed.

Many people will open and just scan through it to the bottom, form of speed reading i guess.

It worked for me so give it a go.

There are a Number of ways you can optimise email marketing, but it depends on the market you are trying to reach.

Personally, the copywriters guild, gives excellent ideas on how best to do this & is for my money, probably the best course I have seen on this subject. No disrespect to anyone else.

Sending an email everyday for the first 7 days has worked well for me. And then I follow-up with them maybe a week later to see if they have found what they were looking for yet?

Wow sorry about your experience with the "dead" email campaign. That must have been tough. Btw.. did you get sales? What was your percentage from open emails to sales? I like your approach. Very interesting.
